Dallas has had two good off seasons so far. They are a playoff team no doubt and even if they dont have a 2nd star next to dirk, they have quality guys around him and the most underrated coach in the league in carslie.

Rockets decided to not match the Parsons offer sheet. I would much rather have Parsons than Ariza but good for them on not matching, save whatever cap space you can and go big game hunting again next year

Still a brutal offseason basically lost Asik, Lin and Parsons and didn't get Bosh and so far all they have to show for it is Ariza a protected pick and Gee.

Dallas Parsons is alot of money but they have bargains like Dirk and Monte so they can overpay him with no problems.

They gambled for Harden and they gambled to get Dwight. This time the gamble cost them. Rather go big then go home though

Free agent PG market is really starting to dry up. Chalmers resigns with Heat, Hinrich back to the Bulls, Mo Williams is expected to sign with Dallas. Who's left? DJ Agustin, Jameer Nelson, and...? I suspect Jameer is going to someplace where he can win unless we offer him a good chunk of our MLE and I'm not sure I want Agustin

I think Flip is going to rely on 1 of JJ, Shved and Lavine to step up and handle the backup duties. There's no sense signing a backup PG as long as JJ is on the roster because you would be paying him not to play which I have to think you'd be able to get something for him.

I just read on Hoopshype that Dallas and Houston are trying to get the league to allow a S&T for Parsons. How the hell does that work. It clearly states that once an offer sheet is submitted, a S&T is not allowed. Are the wolves the only team that are held to the rules?

What a depressing concept. I think I speak for all of us that watching JJ handle the backup PG role last year was a miserable experience. I doubt Shved will ever get back to his Olympic form and I just don't think LaVine is going to be able to run an offense efficiently.

I did a quick check and Ramon Sessions is still out there. Maybe Cool Hand Luke Ridnour? ;)

I'm hoping Flip can get better results from him if they keep him. Plus JJ being an expiring is nice.

OKC signed Telfair for the Vet min there will be a decent (not great but decent) backup PG for cheap weeks from now. Shved I thought looked bad yesterday I am interested in seeing what he looks like tonight.
