Offical Free Agency Thread
Re: Offical Free Agency Thread
Luke Ridnour to the Magic. These cheap free agent PG's everyone keeps thinking will be there are all signing. Only PG free agents I have interest in now are Sessions (rumor is he might sign with the Hornets again), Jameer Nelson (I think he'll probably sign with a contender), and Mo Williams (who has been rumored to be interested in Dallas). The rest of the market is no better than JJ

LaVine's our backup point as far as I'm concerned.

A lot of faith in a guy who hasn't played one minute in a real NBA game. I think he will have a rough transition when the games count

Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA
Free agent Brandon Rush has agreed to a one-year deal with Golden State, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

Rush's deal with the Warriors will be two years -- not one. He'll hold a player option on the second year.

I hope not. Way too much to put on the plate for a guy as raw as Lavine. Lord help him if Rubio went down. Stunt his growth big time
Re: Offical Free Agency Thread
Here is the thing about the backup PGs out there they are backups for a reason. Some of them may be upgrades over JJ and some of them might not be. Is Luke the steady guy we know or is he done which his stats suggest last year. Sessions is a nice player but he isn't a 3 point shooter and never seems to find a home despite being productive and obviously talented. I'm not defending JJ here I'm just saying that all these backup PGs have their warts also.
I am not considering LaVine the backup PG but I've seen enough in 3 SL games to say the guy should get a shot to play minutes at the NBA level and as a backup PG that might be part of the equation. Its not like he is going to be facing the best he might be facing Steve Blake or Luke Ridnour types. He might be able to blow past those guys. Lol
Like everyone hear I want a solid vet backup PG to Rubio but it might not happen. For what its worth Flip says he wants his PGs to be vocal and Leaders and that describes JJ more than some of these guys that are out there or signed. I would be fine with JJ being replaced with someone else. People are frustrated and done with JJ and understandably so just look at his shooting percentages and anyone can see why people want him gone so bad. Flip said he isn't going to add anyone unless they are better than who is on the roster and JJ's warts are close to home a lot of backup PGs have their issues too a lot of them aren't really PGs either.

Big time steal. Indy just got a lot worse. Charlotte's a top-six seed for me now.
Wow. For that kind of a deal Lance is worth the risk. I am really suprised the Pacers let him get away for that kind of money. I think its a big loss for the Pacers.
Love has been rumored to be a locker room cancer too, and the Wolves did just fine wi...
never mind

Re: Offical Free Agency Thread
Ed Davis at two years, $2 million dollars (by the Lakers) is clear and away the greatest value signing of this offseason. Wow. Would have LOVED to land him at that price and let him replace Dante's minutes.
Re: Offical Free Agency Thread
There goes my boy Ed Davis to the Lakers for 2/2M, insane bargain right there.
