Wiggins might not start?

Asked of #Twolves starters, Flip Saunders told @105theticket youngsters to be interspersed w/ vets. Noncommittal on Andrew Wiggins starting.
Obiviously this has to be impossible. Flip is the anti Adelman. Flip is going to play the young guys! He would of given Deing so much time, we would of made the playoffs!

Re: Wiggins might not start?
I think you are probably right, Alex. Wiggins will likely start because Flip is probably more inclined to play rookies, and also because #1 picks usually start.
Having said that, we shouldn't be surprised at Flip being non-committal. He would have an unhappy locker room if he just anointed Wiggins as the starter before camp even began, and it wouldn't be fair to his vets. Wiggins will have to earn his starting position by outplaying his competition every day in Mankato. If he does this, and I expect he will, the veterans will have to know that they were beaten out by a better player. .
Flip's handling this question correctly

He will be given the opportunity to win the starting job. I am guessing Brewer will know right away he is playing for backup minutes.
Re: Wiggins might not start?
Wiggins will stasrt from day 1. Ive said this since it was all but confirmed that we are getting him. I see no reason to start brewer over him. Wiggins is likely as good or better than brew right now. Him starting will pair him with 4 vets in pek, thad, rubio and martin. Thats an ideal situation for both sides. Play AW with a bunch of vets to ease him in and have brew come off the bench to serve as the vet along with mo to play with the younger guys.
Re: Wiggins might not start?
Yup. Flip would never suggest someone is a starter before training camp even begins. But, of course, he said it makes more sense to combine vets and youth together. We can infer that to mean Wiggins is a likely starter...

I'm in the camp of starting Wiggins and not getting Bledsoe. Wiggins could be our SG, could be our SF. I think we should groom LaVine and the rest of our rookies to be starters next year.
We have some good vets in place to start this season and going after Bledsoe seems a little too aggressive. Flip should just leave well enough alone after getting that great trade done.

Lloyd, I am with you. We are not certain if LaVine is more PG then SG and if Wiggens can play SG. If he can Shabazz could earn the remaining minutes at SF.
I curious what cap space we have next summer if we don't extend Rubio.

I would like Wiggins to learn how to dribble before making him a SG

Wait, you're saying we just traded for a #1 overall wing that can't even dribble?? We got robbed!!
