Andrew Wiggins: 18 PTS, 4-11 FG, 8-10 FT, 4 REB, 3 BLK, 3 AST (really impressive performance; people are underrating his defense; hit a Kobe fade-away and a step-back tonight; got to the FT line at will)

Thaddeus Young: 12 PTS, 5-10 FG, 4 REB, 2 AST (barely played in the 2nd half; no complaints here)

Gorgui Dieng: 16 PTS, 7-13 FG, 10 REB, 5 OREB (love this guy and his potential; got thrown around in the post, though)

Corey Brewer: 10 PTS, 5-9 FG, 3 REB (reckless, out of control and pretty effective; same old Corey)

Shabazz Muhammad: 9 PTS, 3-11 FG, 4 REB (got stuffed at the rim a couple times; needs to be patient; had a few dumb moments on defense)

Glenn Robinson III: 6 PTS, 3-4 FG, 3 AST, 2 REB (barely played in the first half if at all; showed why I like his overall game; plays smart and makes good decisions; needs more minutes next game)

Ricky Rubio: 2 PTS, 1-6 FG, 4 AST, 2 REB (barely played in the 2nd half; had a nice drive, fake pass and finished with his left in the game; jumper still looks broken but I didn't expect change this soon)

Chase Budinger: 4 PTS, 2-5 FG, 3 REB, 2 STL (played seven minutes; looked good to me in limited action)

JJ Barea: 2 PTS, 1-6 FG, 2 AST (same JJ, new year; get rid of him)

Ronny Turiaf: 1 PT, 0-2 FG, 6 REB (played lazy defense I thought)

Robbie Hummel: 2 PTS, 1-6 FG, 0-4 3FG, 5 REB (can't believe this guy's contract is guaranteed)

Kyrylo Fesenko: 0-1 FG, 1 REB, 1 STL (seems like a good guy; sucks at basketball)

Zach LaVine: 5 PTS, 2-9 FG, 5 REB, 4 AST, 5 TO (showed some positives and negatives; forced a couple passes that he shouldn't have; contributed in other ways)

Brady Heslip: 3 PTS, 1-1 FG (I'd rather have him instead of Hummel; he makes his jumpers)

After watching most of the game tonight, I have to say I was disappointed in Lavine's lack of aggressiveness. He settled for too many jumpers, rather than trying to attack the basket.

I realize Hummel has a high BBIQ, but don't you need at least a mediocre skillset to play in the NBA? His shooting is as bad as Ricky's. At least Bud realized he still can't hit the broadside of a barn from the perimeter and made a couple layups.

Impressed with GR3, and hope he gets more time to continue to impress.

Am thinking Pek's playing days are coming to an end. If you can't even get on the court for the first preseason game when you haven't even suffered an injury yet, you clearly have career ending chronic issues. Flip says there is nothing wrong, and then Pek says he has a sore Achilles. Not a good sign either way.

Someone needs to tell Bazz it is OK to pass back out when they reject your shot back to you! Doesn't look like he worked on anything other than his body.

Gorgui's lack of post D seems to be rearing it's ugly head.

As bad as some of this sounds, almost all of it was expected other than GR3, and all of it is offset for me after watching AW. The kid seems to be much further along than most of us expected. I didnt' expect the aggressiveness he displayed tonight. Hitting open 3's, playing very good D, and being opportunistic as well. I think he is already ahead of Brewer.

I am with Cam thinking The hairlip should have Hummel's roster spot. Heslip per 36 - 108 ppg, +/- 288!

I hope Heslip gets more playing time and if he can hit 3s at a high clip, I'd keep him over Hummel. Also with a healthy Budinger, Hummel doesn't seem to have much of a role. I'm also puzzled at why we guaranteed his contact as I don't think we had any competition for his services.

I'm eager to see what Bennett can bring. I'm a bit skeptical of him even with his new improved physique, so I hope he can win me over.

Wiggins is the standout for me. I was the first to say it here a couple months back, Wiggins will win the rookie of the year this season. One thing I love in wiggins is his willingness to play d and I think he is better offensively than what a lot of people expects.

Dieng really needs to learn to hold position down low on d. He is quick and active but as others mentioned, gets push around in the low block and not that coordinated when bodied up. He needs to work on his core strength.

Rubio is still rubio. I will continue to hope that he improves his jumper and it seems its still a long way to go.

I cant see bazz cracking the rotation. Wiggins, Martin, Brewer and Bud are better than him now and I expect to see 2 pg lineups with rubio and mo. Lavine might get a shot ahead of bazz as well.

We are just about unanimous on Wiggins' starting, although some of us have been unsure on just how much contribution we can expect from a rookie. Game number one suggests we can expect a lot...

And while we all love Dieng, tonight showed how valuable Pek will be to our success this season. Pek and Dieng will be a very nice one-two punch for the Wolves.

Zach did not have a good game, but I continue to be impressed with how he handles himself on the court -- he looks like he is ready to play now. It will be interesting to see his game develops throughout the preseason.

Good game from Wiggins. He is going to be special.

Lavine made his share of mistakes but has the tools.

Dieng was solid but needs to get stronger.

Shabazz was disappointing. He needs to hit that corner 3 and pass before putting up a rushed shot.

Looking forward to seeing Bennett play.
