Why not deal Pek and Martin for Bledsoe and Plumlee. Seems even, Pek and Bledsoe about equals with injury risk, since we have to pay more for Bledsoe we get Plumlee to replace Pek or slide in behind Dieng while Phoenix replaces Bledsoe with Martin. We get more athletic and better defensively.

I'd do that deal in a heartbeat, but I don't think Phoenix does it. Any indication that Phoenix would want Martin or Pek?

With the other Dragic going to Phoenix to join their corral of guard talent, I wonder if they will be willing to let him go. I assume under that scenario they will want low salary obligations, draft compensation and/or rookie contracts. Can the Wolves provide that? Would Barea, Budinger plus removing restrictions on the pick be enough? Does it work financially? Wolves could throw in 3 million to offset the cost of buyng out Barea but it seems as though the salaries would fall short. Martin with Barea would probably work financially but he has an extra year on there. PHX probably wont go for that.

It might be better for the Wolves if he takes the QO and uses this season to prove himself some more and if Flip wants he can clear room for next summer. Plus by then he can see where things are with Ricky.

I am on board with this. It may be a mistake. But it shows the team is willing to take a chance. Bledsoe has a chance to be a marquee franchise guy. Wiggins has a chance to be a marquee franchise guy.

For a team like the Wolves... that's the best bet they have... guys with a chance to be elite or franchise guys.

As fun as Rubio is... he's not a game-changer/franchise-changer.
