Actually I'm sure Ryan Saunders will have plenty to do with the young perimeter players and he was given credit for his work with Wall and Beal from people not associated with the Wolves. He has been praised as a legit basketball mind of his own aside from being Flip's son.

I don't think Saunders is a development guy. I think he's more of a planning for opponents and scouting reports kind of guy

I think this is what monster was referring to, alex. You are correct that Ryan is known as a strong analytics guy, which I think will be very helpful to the Wolves. But he also is given credit for player development at Washington.

Another fun fact, if the Cavs win the title next year, it would be the second time they traded their franchise player who went on to win it all their first year. Feel good Wolves fans

Not much we can do about it, except hope it doesn't happen. They're right up there with the Spurs as the team to beat if the deal goes through as expected, but shit happens sometimes. Personally, I'm going to hope that Kevin gets really pissed off at a refrigerator again!

I always cheer for the Wolves, but I also like to have teams to cheer against. While living in LA, it's been fun to cheer against all LA teams, and I have been rewarded with pretty consistent underachieving...it's been great! But now since I'm likely moving back to the Minneapolis in October, the Cavs will become my go-to team to hate. It will be a little difficult because I like LeBron who is now the face of that franchise, but I was always able to love Jeter and Rivera and still hate the Yankees. Here is my dream for next year:

1) Wiggins and Bennett play like true #1's, Flip gets everyone fired up and on the same page, Ricky learns to shoot and the Wolves dedicate the season to burning Love by making the playoffs...and succeed! Love would say publicly that he was happy for his old teammates, but inside he would be seething.

2) LeBron has successful gall bladder surgery but is forced to miss three months of the season, and Kevin has another unfortunate encounter with a Frigidaire. And the Cavs miss the playoffs on the last day of the season.

I know...too much to ask for. But a Wolves fan can dream, can't he?

Also Wolfson tweeted today Ryan is off to a camp in Vegas with LaVine.

Glad you are getting back to Mpls LST....Just in time for the winter. I hope your stint in LA was a good one.

I never disliked Love as much as some folks and while he is a bit petulant, the Wolves kind of had this coming to them. I'm just glad they ended shipping him to an Eastern conference team. Offense is back in style, as I envision Cleveland playing a brand of basketball similar to what we saw from the Spurs this past season. A Chicago-Cleveland ECF would be pretty fun to watch.

Q, with James and Love at the forwards, the Cavs will be the best passing team in the East and similar in style to the Spurs. They will be fun to watch and difficult to dislike. But I'm confident I will find a way!
