The more I watch the East playoffs, the more I think the Wolves (assuming Dieng is involved and Pek is healthy), would have been a bigger threat to beating Miami than any of the other seven teams.
This game tonight between Indiana and the Wiz is just ugly. Not great defense, just bad basketball. And Brooklyn is not good--just barely good enough to beat a decent Toronto team.
The Wolves won 40 this year in a tough conference, and blew a lot of close games (or simply gave them away--but lets not re-live that). I think they're one tough wing player away from being a serious factor next year, especially if teams like the Spurs and Mavs fall off (they have to eventually right?).
The best hope right now to fill that need might be Shabazz. I have to say he surprised me (will admit I thought we wasted a pick on him). He's got some dirty in him. Not afraid. Whoever ends up coaching next year needs to give him a chance.

I remember watching the Wiz-Wolves game a few years ago at Verizon Center. The Wolves just killed them-they were the worst team in the league. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect them to be a playoff team now and we're sitting at home again. Serenity Now!
/yes I know it's the East and the pacers suck

Yes, it is certainly unexpected, especially with Wittman still running the show! :furious:

Yes, having our former coach do it too! Just another kick in the sack for Wolves fans!
