ESPN Insider threw out a "Love to Warriors?" link today. They won't be satisfied until Love gets to return to the West Coast where everything is perfect and wonderful.
He and Rudy Gay seem to be the two guys whose reputations were hit pretty hard by the trend toward analytics.
You mean like every time Gay gets traded the team that trades him gets better? LOL
Well, there's that, too. I'm NOT a Rudy Gay fan. Never have been. But, if you read a lot of things about him, you'd think he was a horrible player with no attributes. I think Wolves fans can agree that's not necessarily the case.
The guy played pretty well in Sacramento -- 20.1 / 5.5 reb / 3.1 ast / 48.2% fg and destroyed the Wolves a couple of times. He tried to change the narrative with his play... but the stigma/stench is already attached to him. We'll see if it was a mirage or if he can be a decent player moving forward -- especially since he won't be getting paid like a #1 option for much longer.

I like Monta, but didn't like his salary. Nevertheless I would have been happy if we had brought him here. He's the sort of penetrating scorer we need.
As for Jamaal, I was adamently opposed to signing him. I am now eating a large crow.
Had Derrick Williams and/or Aleksey Shved turned into better, more efficient scorers off our bench, than none of us would be lamenting the lack of a Jamaal Crawford or Monta Ellis on our roster. But neither of our young guys improved a smidgeon - and arguably took a step backwards - from their 2012-13 season. When you combine their lack of progress with the Budinger injury, it left us with one of the most offensively-limited benches in the league.
As for Monta Ellis specifically, he's still fool's gold in my opinion. Dallas was actually a much better team with Monta off the court vs. on the court this past season. He has a career WS/48 of .73, which is below average.
