Who blinks first?
Guys, we nailed the last poll, with 18/20 of us saying LBJ would go back to Cleveland, Now we're on to the next step, and I think we will be more divided. It appears that the battle lines are being drawn. Both sides want to complete a Love deal, but the sticking point is Wiggins. Who gives in? Does Cleveland consent to trading Wiggins, or does Flip agree to take other pieces for Love.
Or does neither side blink, and no deal happens?
I hope Cleveland blinks. I may strangle Flip if he blinks.
I think nobody blinks, and no Cleveland trade happens.

You'll never guess what I think happens...
Re: Who blinks first?
There have been reports both ways but there have been reports Wiggins and his camp have been told he isn't being traded. Of course everyone in the media said Lebron hadn't met with anyone from the Cavs and he did.
Edit: I voted neither.

Re: Who blinks first?
I voted for us getting Wiggins. I think Cleveland is making a pitch that it feels Flip is unlikely to take, just in case we bite or more likely as a negotiating tactic. Wiggins inclusion makes this the most compelling deal, but without him its the worst offer we could take. I'd rather keep Love knowing full well he would walk then take Waters and Bennet as the centerpieces. I think Cleveland is likely but not certain to offer Wiggins in the coming days. I just hope the Wiggins offer comes soon or Flip may try to rekindle talks with GS, Chicago or Boston. I don't think Flip is dumb enough to give up Love for a bunch of Cleveland underachievers.
75% chance we get Wiggins
15% chance we get Klay
8% chance we do a deal with a team other than GS or Cle.
2% we keep Love next season
0% chance we take a non-Wiggins package from Cleveland

I'm guessing Cleveland won't relinquish Wiggins and Cleveland will throw together as much as they can otherwise in a trade deadline move. Minnesota/Flip will blink in February.

Cleveland's just doing its due diligence to make absolutely sure that there's no way to get Love without Wiggins. That's responsible and I applaud them for trying. Sooner rather than later, they'll pony up and we'll get our guy.

Let me guess...Wiggins is included, but the deal falls apart because the Cavs also insist Mike Pelfrey be included? :)

No way Minnesota gives in. I think the deal is already done.
Re: Who blinks first?
I don't think the Cavs trade Wiggins based on what the most powerful man in the NBA said in a letter today. What Lebron said sounded like a guy that wanted to play with young talent and be a guy to lead a young team not try and get that team to load up with Love. Lebron will get what he wants and I think he wants young talent that will be here for years to come. That's Wiggins. I'll gladly be wrong though.
