I hope Bosh makes it to Houston to knock down GS a notch on the contender poll so they can look like idiots for how important they thought Klay would be versus getting Love. Also, I know it'd take 30 days, but getting Wiggins signed in Cleveland and then trading for him means we take back less crap and could make it easier for them to take on another contract from us to make the salaried match. It's about a 5 million dollar difference between a signed Wiggins and just getting the rights to him. On the other hand, it would be awesome to watch a Lavine/Wiggins/Bazz/Bennett/Dieng SL team.

I believe the Love to Cavs deal was basically done pending Lebron signing on. Wouldn't be one bit surprised if Cleveland asked Flip who he preferred in the draft.

That's what I'm thinking.

Are you sure there isn't a cap hold for each 1st round pick? On ESPN the other day when they brought up Love/CLE and showed the numbes they had Wiggins at 4.7 or 4.9 mill.

Cool--Broussard and Stein both said that same thing just now on ESPN (about taking Wiggins over Parker because thats who Flip liked more). Very, very exciting times right now for Wolves fan, IMO.

Tim Kawakami ?@timkawakami 3m
Second NBA source: The Warriors have no plans to offer Klay Thompson to Minnesota, even if CLE comes in aggressively for Kevin Love.

Shocked on how dumb the Warriors are

Good, that means there's even less of a chance that Flip could overthink a Klay or Wiggins scenario. I hate Golden State and their fans. Not to mention their broadcast team is among the worst in the league. I hope they have to pay Klay the max next year.

Alex, you need to learn to trust your fellow board members. The news is not too shocking really, because 18 out of 20 of us called it :)

Seems rather strange. Hopefully he's gone by the end of the day

Before Wiggins plays for the Cavs Summer League team...

He can't play in summer league until he signs his deal is that right?

No he can play without signing. Flip isn't planning to sign GR3 until after the summer league

Does anyone else find this to be a bizarre rule, that unsigned players can play in Summer League? Is this the only sport that allows this? Further, why would an agent allow his client to play, with the risk of getting hurt.

Let's play this out. I know this is remote, but wouldn't it be tragic? Unsigned Wiggins plays today for Cleveland, and blows out a knee in the third quarter. Doctors look at it and say it is so bad, he may never have the athleticism he used to. How many millions has he lost?

Whatever team he was on would pay him the money he was due. No way they just dump him and I am not sure they can. If that could the players union, fans, other teams would rip that franchise for doing something so classless. Silver just drafted Isaiah Austin into the league you can be sure Wiggins would get his money.
