I am wondering how LaVine will impact how we handle the situation.

I would think between 1 and 25%

He hasn't played a game yet. I'd hope no situation will revolve around him

We not likely to do anything this year. So it will be next year.

I don't know what Dallas payroll will be next summer but if Cuban has a max slot, I could certainly see him giving it to Ricky. Lock him up Flip.
I have seen this thought about Cuban a couple times, and I am not seeing the connection. Does he have some unknown weakness for PG that can't shoot that I am not aware of? He may like Ricky, but I am seriously curious what would make Cuban's interest different than any other owner. Thoughts?

I would think/hope they would push for a contract before the season, but if Rubio's agent demands a max deal and nothing less that they would wait and see what happens during RFA.

Simply because Cuban had come out publicly before with glowing comments about Ricky and how much he loves his game. He is just a definite example. I'm sure there are more teams that would be interested.

Plus Cuban loved Kidd and brought him back when people thought he was nuts for doing so and Rubio is the closest comp to Kidd at this point even if that would be a really good outcome based on what Rubio has done so far. Maybe Cuban has cooled on Rubio but I doubt it. Also they don't have a PG worth much on their roster right now.
