Which list is longer.

Post by Porckchop »

Great power forwards who lead their team to a championship. Or great power forwards who put up great numbers but couldnt seal the deal. Im talking about Pfs that were Alpha dogs of their teams.

This seems like a silly question. Since only one team can win a title every year and only has one starting PF, it seems highly likely that the list of PFs that put up great numbers but didn't wiin a title will be longer.

U know what Im getting at. History tells us that relying on a pf to take u to the promise land is fruitless.

Duncan is the only one I can think of off the top of my head.

He really played more Center during the those years. All I got is Moses Malone. And he had the Doctor.

Maybe, he was the defensive rock for that team but Paul Pierce closed out games .

Winners: Duncan, Dirk, Garnett (Pierce main guy, but there's a case for KG), Hayes, Worthy,

Non-Winners: Malone, Barkley, Pettit, Webber, Bosh (TOR days), J. O'Neal...?

That's off the top of my head. I don't think there's a pattern, though. It's extremely tough to win an NBA championship, period.

Whats the point of this thread? To say because Love is a PF he won't win a title and therefore isn't worth keeping?
