No more Syrucuse guys please, after having to watch Flynn and Wesley Johnson, I refuse to consider any players on their team as legit candidates. I know, I know there have been some good players from there, but I just can't get my hopes up for anyone coming out of there.

I agree to a point. If we determine he's not big enough to defend NBA PF's and isn't a viable option to back up Love (or potentially replace him :shock: ), then drafting him would give us a 6th SF. In that case, I would be supportive of drafting the best SG on the board. McDermott's numbers are unbelievable though and tough to pass up. Ultimately I think he goes top ten and is gone by our turn.
I would trade down if we don't get a top 3. Try offering the pick for Lamb, Ross, or Burks plus the teams lower first round pick. I think this is a draft you will get good value trading down.
Terran Petteway is close to becoming my first choice at 13. Along with his tough defense, he has scored 23 and 26 in his last two games and is almost single-handedly leading Nebraska to a possible NCAA bid.
We also have several 2nd round picks, and Cincy's Sean Kilpatrick is an intriguing possibility. He's averaging 20.5 PPG and will not go in the first round because of his age (24). Cincy is very good, so we should be able to watch him a lot in the tournament.
Zach LaVine continues to underwhelm. I really think he should stay in school.
I didn't see the game, but Petteway scored 29 on Sunday...now averaging 26 a game over the past three. Pretty amazing in the defensively-oriented Big Ten. I am thinking he is going to be Big Ten player of the year. Draft Express still doesn't have him coming out this year, but I gotta believe he will. He's 6-6, a great shooter and creater, and a relentless defender...just what the Wolves need. He's now my first choice, although I like McDermott too (who also scored 29 on Sunday).
As I expected after watching him play, Draft Express has dropped Zach LaVine out of the first round.
How high do people think we could move with our pick plus either Bazz or a JJ/Shved expiring? I would try to target Vonleh, Harris and Hood and as long as we come out with one of those three, I would consider it a good draft.

I wouldn't use Bazz as a chip at all, especially for Vonleh. He's a drifter who disappears all the time. No reason for that team to be led really by Yogi.
Nik Stauskas. My hunt is over. 6'6, 205 lbs. Puts the "shooting" in shooting guard. Off the dribble. Off a dribble hand-off. Catch and shoot. Legit range. Uses a bunch of clever stepbacks. Can make shots with defenders all over him. Good passer; great in the P&R. Can hit the rolling man in rhythm; can also drive and leave the rock for a big man. Can consistently throw a good lob for an oop (we need more athletes, but still). Takes care of the basketball. Very good TO/AST rate. Smart player too; gets to the FT line at a good clip. Can finish with both hands (right hand dominate). He's underrated as an athlete too (probably because he's white). Reminds me of Gordon Hayward in terms of athleticism.
Future All-Star, in my opinion. If we miss the playoffs, Stauskas is my man.

I wouldn't even risk it if he was available. Just take the guy you know you want. Also, he's Canadian. Practically lived in cold weather all his life. Ontario, Connecticut, Massachusetts and now he's playing for the University of Michigan. Always a thought... just in case he turns into a big time player and ESPN and other media outlets want to say he's headed for LA. Ha.
