After watching Hood's video, I no longer had interest in him. Awful defender

How is that any different from Stauskas? Hood is a jumpshooter who can get to the basket. Take a look at the stats:

I don't see why Stauskas should be considered that much better especially considering Stauskas was the best player on his team and Hood had to play as Parker's sidekick. You can't go wrong either way if you are just looking for good jumpshooting with some creating ability at the next level.

The thing is if we do draft Hood, do we play him at SG or SF? That's the question. If we play him at the three we're looking at a starting lineup with Martin and Hood. I firmly believe that if we keep Pek, we need at least 2 good on ball perimeter defenders. Right now we have Ricky who is great, Brewer who is average and Martin who is terrible. I personally think Stauskas would be a defensive improvement over Martin, and I think Hood has some potential to be an average defender, but I have no idea if he can guard NBA SGs. If we're looking for someone who can start next year, I think Stauskas is the better option than Hood

If we were looking to draft backup PG, I'd go with Ennis. Anderson's a SF that can run an offense to a degree. Doesn't mean we should use him at point, imo.

I was semi kidding about him as our backup PG, but we could try to run the offense through him on the second unit. He is a very intriguing prospect to me.

From what I've seen they're are similar, both good offensively and good shooters and neither is great defensively, but different. The difference is I see Stauskas being a notch above Hood in overall shooting ability and I like his attitude a little more. Hood on the other hand is better at creating for himself and getting his shot off, something we really could use.

The best news about the draft so far is that every player rumored to be possibly coming out has indeed decided to come out, even ones who don't appear to be ready in any way. I was worried that the strength of this year's freshman crop might convince some guys not in the top 5-6 to stay in school, but it's not happening. Yesterday Zach LaVine announced he is entering the draft. I don't know how many of you watched him that year, but he couldn't crack the starting lineup for UCLA and shouldn't have. And yet there are some who project him as a lottery pick, primarily because he is a freakish athlete. To me, he's Rodney Williams...another guy who could jump really high and make jaw-dropping dunks and had scouts drooling his freshman year (despite luke-warm stats), but ended up not being NBA quality.

Jahii Carson would be a good 2nd round pick. He would be worth a look. Could be a good 3rd PG next season.

Haven't had a chance to follow much College hoops this season, but from what I've seen of the prospect's expected to be around at 13 I'd have to say Stauskas is my pick. Pure shooter, his step back J's are a thing of beauty and he can handle the ball. Good in the Pick (Pek) n Roll and great off the catch and shoot (perfect playing next to Ricky). Also has great vision and can pass the ball. Offensively reminds me a bit of J.J Reddick.

My second pick is Kyle Anderson.
