Price Waived

Post by Kevin Glasshands [enjin:6642795] »

Looks like Price was waived today. Does this mean anything?

Is there a chance we give someone a waiver to possibly bring then back next season?

I found the timing peculiar, because they still have to pay him. Obviously they wouldn't have waived him if they didn't feel they needed to sign somebody else for the final couple weeks. I'm guessing they felt shorthanded at PF with the Dante uncertainty, and are going to sign a PF in the next couple days. Wouldn't it be nice if the guy plays well these last few games, and we know we have Love's backup next year.

Long, I heard they made the decision to release him the night before. So they weren't aware of any issues with DC at the time. I don't seen any good reason for it.

The NBA rumors section on ESPN cites the reason for releasing Price was to sign a prospect to put on the summer league squad. Erik Murphy might be worth while picking up of the waiver wires, a potential replacement for Dante.

WE WANT CHRIS JOHNSON!

Lol kidding, but I thought we should have waived him a long time ago and signed a vet that was avilable to help the playoff push. Oh well.

I like Erik Murphy a lot, though I'm openly biased towards Florida players. Lol

I suspect AJ was not going to be medically cleared to play for the remainder of the season, so releasing him was not only a "favor" to him, but opens the door for taking a look at someone else.

Of course, what are the chances Adelman would play a new guy?!? :(
