I agree with everything except Pek's value around the league. He's a great fit next to any PF who can defend the rim *and* hit enough jumpers to space the floor for Pek's post game. How many such players even exist in the NBA? How many of those teams are looking to tie up cap space with Pek as we head into the free agent bonanza of next summer? Doesn't his significant injury history turn off at least a few suitors? And who fits all of these criteria AND gives us the two-way wing or backup pg we so desperately need?

Kahn would NOT have given Pek so many years on his contract... :)

We'll still be paying Pek when it's time to re-sign Dieng!

How many TRUE Centers in the league can score draw fouls hit their FTs and eat glass like Pek? Not too many. Yep Pek is likely to miss a bunch of games in any given season but so is about every other center over the age of 25. Pek is going to have alot of value if the Wolves look to move him. I don't know about Westbrook type value but Pek could be a heck of a trade chip. People need to quit undervaluing Pek because of injuries he had a career year and has gotten better every year. As the article pointed out there are teams where Pek would fit really well and I bet there will be enough of a market for him that the wolves can get a nice return on him.
