Nice when you have an all-star caliber player who can create his own shot off the dribble - whether it's creating space for a jump shot or going to the hole. I'm talking about Stephen Curry of course. No one on the Wolves roster even close to Curry's league.

Increased bench production, three-point shooting and a new head coach. Recipe for success in 2014.

Just noticed Budinger and Hummel laughing on the bench. I've been noticing a lot of Wes Johnson type behavior on the Wolves bench lately. Laughing and joking on the bench during an intense game like this when your team is going down is inexcusable and indicative of a losing culture. This team needs a serious culture change. All the more reason I want the Wolves to pursue Stan Van Gundy as our next head coach. He would set the right tone. We can send Budinger packing in some minor deal and just let Hummel go.

The only players on the current roster who clearly fit the intense winning culture I want to see are Ricky, Corey and Dieng. We need to build around those three and Kevin Love. I include Love in the core to build around because of his obvious talent and production as our only proven All-Star caliber player. That's it. Those four players stay and everyone else is on the trading block. I wouldn't anticipate trading everyone other than our core four and I wouldn't simply give a guy like Pekovic or Martin away. But we need to change things up.

We need three-point shooting. Three shooters; one is constantly on the bench and the other goes invisible down 4th quarter stretches. Essentially we have Love and Rubio playing with no shooters.

Give me Stauskas. Give me Jodie Meeks and Give me Steve Blake/Kirk Hinrich.

Good point, Cam. I'll add that the guy who becomes invisible in the 4th is often invisible other quarters as well. If that isn't bad enough, he misses about 20 games a season. And as Martin closes in on age 32, I wouldn't expect his body to hold up any better than it typically has throughout his career.

While I agree on the need to improve our three-point shooting, we also need to add at least one other ball handler to the starting lineup to take some of the pressure off Ricky -- a ball handler who can create his own shot off the dribble. And we need to improve our defense, which may require more than just a coaching change. Oh, and we happen to have the worst bench in the NBA.

Flip has his work cut out for him this off-season.

Agree lip. We need a culture change badly.

Sjm suggested pek for varejao+waiters. I like that deal, varejao is a gamer and an enforcer type. Waiters gives us someone who can create his own shot and he palys with a chip on his shoulder as well.

Flip needs to nail the draft pick. Stauskus is my #1 choice but I wont lock ourselves to 1 position, we need players to fill out the team.

Lets target hinrich or devin harris for backup pg. Those 2 vets can still go and would be good mentors for rubio. Get a athletic 4/5. Get some athletes on the team as well. We look unathletic most of the season.

Worldk -- I would be thrilled if we could get Varejao and Waiters for Pekovic. And I'd be happy if we ended up drafting Stauskus with our first round pick. Beyond that, all we will have to sign a consequential free agent will be the $5 million per year MLE. I'd pursue Hinrich, Harris or Isaiah Thomas with our MLE.

I believe we also have three second round picks -- pelicans (10th pick in 2nd round), our own (13th pick), and Warriors (bottom half of the 2nd round).

I don't want Jack's contract. I'd rather sign Blake/Augustin/Hinrich/Vasquez as a free agent.
