What the hell Adelman pulls Shabazz after less than 3 minutes?

I usually disagree with his rotation of Shabazz this year but in this case, I can't blame him, back to back terrible defensive possessions also they were mental mistakes

Good to see Chase looking something like his old self. Also, seems like Dieng is getting more comfortable handling Rubio's passes. Still doesn't have the best hands, and things get ugly when he tries to put the ball on the floor, but he has handled almost all of Rubio's no-looks tonight

Chase is definitely improving

Been noticing the same thing, volans. Much if his athleticism has returned, and the shot looks more comfortable too.

Playing even with the Heat in the first half highlights for me how replacable Pek and Martin are. They are similar players...able to put up points in a hurry, but offering little on defense.

Great first half for Big G...13 and 3 with 2 blocks and a steal. Such quick hands...he seems to get a steal every game.

I also like that Rubio is putting his stamp on every game. Too often in the first half of the season he blended in on both ends, especially when you could tell he had no confidence. Since the All-Star break, I don't remember a game where that could be said.

Thanks for the explanation...kek. I was wondering if he was hurt. I don't endorse the idea of yanking a rookie at this stage of the season for a mental mistake. If he's loafing, buy all means take him out. But you need to let your rookies play through mental mistakes and coach them up on the breaks. If I were Muhammad, I would really dislike Rick. I think he has shown a remarkable amount of maturity to not show his displeasure (assuming he has some).

I think I may have come up with a new concept on this board...Adelman isn't patient with rookies :idea: .

I think Pek's defense is pretty underrated. He doesn't block shots, but he plugs space and doesn't let people get position. Not saying he's All-Defensive team, but he's not in Martin's league either.

I'm not going to diminish the significance of playing Miami even up on their own court. This game means a lot more to them than us, being in a dead heat with Indy for home court advantage.

I remember not liking Pek's hands much his first year, but I see him as having better than average hands for a center now. Takes some time to get used to the quickness of the NBA game.

Another thing I'm pleasantly surprised about Dieng tonight is that he only has one foul despite playing aggressive defense, and that foul was offensive.

Competitive and fun game so far. I really like rubio and barea together in the backcourt. We should have played them together more this season. Its the best use off jj by playing him with rubio.
