Does Martin have any trade value?

Post by A Friendly Flatulence [enjin:8907904] »

Just curious about everyone's thoughts on him. Keep him or trade him? Overall thoughts?

I think we might have to keep him. He's our best three point shooter. We already lack perimeter shooting as it is, do we want to get rid of our most reliable threat from three? Are we prepared to go into next year with Love and Budinger as our only shooters? More shots for Corey! Yay! :dizzy:

There are a few trades I'd take a look at, but most of them aren't worth getting rid of Martin's scoring ability. Keep in mind that SG is our weakest position on the roster. We're thin as it is there. Any K-Mart trade needs to bring back a SG or an asset that can be used to get one.

For right now, we need to keep Martin unless an offer comes along that helps us for the now and the future. Dion Waiters being the only target that really fits this profile. If CLE was willing, I'd do a Martin for Waiters/Gee deal and call it a win.

Give me this guy instead of Martin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=To0JIyG9UC0

Cheaper, younger, "attack the rim" mentality. 37% from the three last year (1.3 3PM per game). Hopefully he publicly says he hates Kyrie this off-season and forces his way to Minnesota. :thumb:

I was fully expecting to see Stauskas highlights. I should have realized there's no way his 3pt% would have been so low.

I am all on board for Martin for Waiters. I think it would be a win win for both teams.

I would love waiters on the team. He fills a need as a guard who can create his own shot, handle the ball and has improve his outside shot this season.

I doubt cavs would trade him for martin. I just dont see martin having enough value to get us a promising young player.

Pek+bud for waiters varejao and gee is a deal would approve of.

I wonder if NO would trade Gordon for Martin and JJ? They have Holiday and Evans who can create their own shot so they don't need Gordon for that.

I'd rather have Waiters on his rookie deal.
