Thanks Cam. I'm surprised Stauskas is rated #1 and Wilby is rated so low. If we could grab those 2 guys I'd be happy. Also, where are the other centers? Maybe this will create a demand for Pek? We can only hope.

Couple of things I found interesting.

PG -
Smart over Exum - I love Smart and would think he would be a great addition on this team. He is physically tough and competitive. He would be a great addition to this team.

Carson over Napier - I would love either of these guys in the second round. I thought you might have Napier higher then Carson.

SG -
I think Nik Staukus is the man here. He is a worker and what this team needs. Has fire to him that this roster needs more of.

SF
I am not sold on Wiggins. I get flashes of Harnes Barnes with him. I'm not sold on Parker either. He can score, but it doesn't mean it will translate into wins. I think he is one that could have went back for another year just to help his NBA career.

PF
I like Vonleh and Capela for their physical gifts and projects. I think Randle is closer to a finished product.

C - Not on my radar.

Excellent work, Cam, but I'm going to stay on you until you start giving my guy and Big Ten scoring champ Terran Petteway some love. I know you have said you didn't see him play much this year, but how much did you really watch Exum (rated 2nd) or Hairston (rated 3rd)? If Zach LaVine is the 5th best SG, and the only thing he showed this year is that he can jump high, Petteway has to be at least 3rd. 18.1 PPG in the Big Ten with defenders draped all over him, an explosive finisher at the rim, and a tossup with Harris as the best defending SG in the draft...with an incredible motor. Really fun guy to watch on both sides of the court. And despite the punch he threw on the court last season, by all accounts a good guy. Same overall rating as Harris and Stauskas. Lots of positives, and the only negative is he needs to cut down on his turnovers (2.8 per game). I think turnover reduction happens naturally when he is no longer "the man". You're not alone in leaving him off your draft board (perhaps because he hasn't announced yet), but I can't believe a 6'6" SG who led the Big Ten in scoring and is a relentless defender isn't going to come out.

Cam what do you think of Norvel Pelle?

I could see him having Ibaka like potential, not that he'd live up to that potential based on how things have gone for him so far. His name is kinda sweet, even if he didn't play it would be fun to see a name like Norvel on the roster.

Wow. good find, sjm. I guess once you've seen Lincoln, Nebraska, it's difficult to imagine being anywhere else. Still, gotta admit I'm stunned that the scoring champ in the best conference wouldn't come out. I did a little more digging, and maybe this quote that didn't get in the article might shed some light on the situation:

Petteway was pressed on why he decided not to enter the draft, and he said "I'm really angry that Camden0916 hasn't been giving me any love. He recently put out his list of best draft picks by position, and I didn't even crack the top ten shooting guards! Can you believe that? Camden is influential with NBA general managers, so once I saw that list, I knew I was dropping out of the first round. So I made two decisions. To return for my junior year, and to track this Camden0916 down!"

I'm with you except I put Wiggins ahead of Parker and Harris ahead of Stauskas for the same reason, pure athletic ability. I think Parker and Stauskas have been better college players but Harris and Wiggins will surpass them in the NBA game.

Adams screwed Lavine again. First he took his minutes. Then he said he was staying and Lavine could fathom the idea of playing another year behind him so he goes pro. Finally Adams decides to go pro after Lavine committed.
