Adelman will not be a factor in Ricky's decision. Unlike Kahn, Flip is a real basketball guy who knows how players think, as we have seen in his dealings with Love. I suspect he will sit down with Ricky in the future and explain to him how much happier he will be playing for the new coach. I don't know, of course, but Ricky seems like the kind of guy who will want to finish what he started, and try to win here.

Lol don't we all hear the pieces coming out about how Rubio's overrated and/or poor on defense? Makes me believe that not many outside of the Minnesota organization knows that much about him; they just settle for the label that's put on him. Yes, I know that's just journalists, but I believe that there's ignorance all around the NBA when it comes to their opinion on Ricky. I don't see Rubio leaving unless Minnesota trades him for a Westbrook type player.

I am not concerned at all about Ricky wanting to leave unless there is a huge gap in a price point. When the Wolves offer the Qualifying Offer, it makes Ricky a restricted FA. If he accepts the QO, he will be an Unrestricted FA the following year and have the right to refuse a trade to any team. He will most likely not accept it and instead negotiate a 4 or 5 year extension.
