Time to take this team off

Post by kekgeek »

Thank you for all this board contributes on wolves talk every game. I think its time for me to sit the rest of the season out, I would want to watch the improvement of our rookies in Dieng and Bazz, but we have a dumb ass coach. We have a selfish only cares about himself, worthless midget backup PG. This is a terrible defensive team, I will not blame bud, he is coming off an injury, I will not blame any of the starters, they played their asses off this season. Life of a Minnesota sports fan piss good things down our legs. Thank you Kevin Love, second best player in Wolves history, thank you Rubio even though you have your flaws you play with heart every night and I love that. Thank you Brewer for the heart you play with every night.

I will see you guys next year for the draft, I hope we have a new coach and cheers to a chance of making the playoffs for one more year.

Until Next year peace

I couldn't sum up my thoughts about this season any better than you just did, kek. You're right...this team showed a lot of heart, and there is no reason to get down on Bud who clearly wasn't ready to contribute after his surgeries...not his fault. It's a shame that a pig-headed coach tanked this season for us.

Listening to Jim Peterson the last few weeks, I'm convinced he could have coached this roster to a 50-32 record.

Until this team makes the playoffs, no one in their right mind should ever assume they will. I don't care if we have Miami's roster. This team simply doesn't deserve to be trusted or looked at with optimism until they actually do well. 10 years of this, and it feels like there's a slight chance fans will be in for 10 more. What makes it sad is that nobody seems to wanna break the cycle, Not Glen, not Adelman, not Flip.

The day I see a Wolves press conference where they try to sell fans on rebuilding again is when I walk away for good. The payoff doesn't seem to be worth it in a league where more than half the teams see something we haven't seen in a decade.

Hard to argue with you Kek. Enjoy your time away and make sure to come back this summer. The draft and summer league tend to be the peak of Wolves fandom these days!

Hey... Miami has a solid bench. We could use one of those.

lol. not to mention the off season 'this is the year we make the playoffs' hype. We were supposed to be a deep team this season, flip specifically pointed out the need go 2-3 deep at every position as we were coming off an injury plague season. We ended up with the worst bench in the league.

Other than Kevin Martin, every player signed and re-signed to give Ricky a target for open looks outside has shot worse than Rubio from 3.

What really hurt early was the inconsistency and poor play from Barea, Shved, Cunningham, and Williams. Those four were supposed to make up the core of our bench, yet all of them got off to just horrible starts. Cunningham recovered a little bit as the season went on, but Williams never did and eventually got traded; Shved has essentially been permanently benched; and Barea continues to be the master saboteur. Turiaf has been hurt most of the season and Budinger has never recovered to the player he was while in Houston.

+1 Q.

Cunningham is an end of bench big whose minutes should never exceed 12 mpg.

Barea has been a complete disappointment this season and should have have taken Shved's seat at the end of the bench 20 games ago. The only thing he is good at is losing leads. His +/- for the season is something like - 90 (compare that to Loves +350).

Shved is playing out of position. But just as he was finding some form he gets benched (permanently) in true Adelman style.

Williams got traded for LMAM who tonight somehow managed a +/- of -18 in 4 minutes. That has to be some kind of record.

What is most frustrating is Adelman is sticking with these guys, when guys like Bazz, Dieng and Shved sit, even though they've shown more promise than the current second unit. Adelman's completely lost it and it really shows why he got shown the door in Houston.

The bench sucked. plain and simple. JJ and shved has been disasters. Yeah, shved had a few games where he was playing with lots of energy and effort but he still sucked. He wont play rotational minutes on any playoff team. Adelman gave him multiple chances, if your saying he is playing better than the garbage he was playing like early in the season then that doesnt mean much, he still sucked. If we are looking at aj price as backup pg then we are a lotto team for sure.

Dw and dante are both disappointments. Luc as well. Bud's injury really affected him. The only positive bench guy was turaif and he spends more time wearing a suit than a basketball jersey.

Dieng and bazz should get more time. But its obvious dieng is still raw. Bazz is playing well, hungry and motivated but he didnt look good summer league or pre season.

Even the starters has been an unbalanced unit. Yes, they play very well together but there are obvious flaws in that starting lineup especially defensively. Heck the whole team as constructed is flawed. Too many obvious weakness and 1 way player. Its hard to put a balanced combo out there to be honest. Our best chance is out gunning the opposing team and were only have 3 scorers to do that. It was doomed to fail from the start.
