Same with any draft, you can't really judge it till 3 years up the track.

Adams is by far my favorite Kiwi center :) .
What about Sean Marks? A close second?
I gotta say distant second, matt, for two reasons. First, he wasn't a pure center like Adams is...I always saw him as a C/PF. Second, he's not even a pure Kiwi since he's now an American citizen too!
I have to comment here becasue I wanted Dieng pretty bad basically any spot after like #15 I thought it was a no brainer. Thanks for bringing this up Q very interesting conversation.
First to comment on Wallace. Big Ben was a very unique player and while undersized he made up for it by being one hell of a basketball player in the ways Q has pointed out. You won't find many defensive centers that would get switched off to even a SG and make them take some crappy off balanced shot or just flat out block them or steal or poke away the ball or make them pass back out. I think i remember once when guard beat him in those situations. every other time he owned them. Wallace was a freak. He probably could have guarded SFs full time and being at least average. Thats the type of player he was in his 20's. Unbelievable ability on that end to guard perimeter players and with that raw ability he was able to cause all kids of problems for bigs that couldn't keep up with that type of agility. Wallace was also kinda like Rodman on offense (Rodman actually had skill just choose not to use it though) but Wallace set good screens got in the right places and stayed out of the way. He also didn't do more than he was supposed to do. Even though he was not a scorer he was the type of guy that was still an asset on offense (or at least didn't hurt you) because of all the dirty work he did. He was the rare probably true or very close to being a true superstar player that basically didn't score. I really enjoyed watching him play.
Deing's movements reminds me more of a Mutumbo although Dieng isn't as strong or as tall, but Dieng as Q has pointed out has put up some nice stats in limited minutes. We all know the dangers of just saying if he got this many minutes he would produce X stats, but over half a block and 2.4 rebs in less than 7 mins? Thats at least encouraging and the type of stuff you want to see in limited minutes. Dieng is gonna be a better FT shooter in the NBA probably better than the average C so thats a nice thing too. We haven't had a young C that showed that kind of signs of life for a while. I'll throw out another comparison when if comes to steals blocks and assists. Noah. Dieng has a long way to go and hasn't even reached rotation status yet, but I really think he is going to be a nice player I think his floor is low he is going to be a handy rotation player with some legit chance to be something much more worthwhile.

Way distant second.
Haha you sound like an Aussie LST. They're always claiming successful Kiwi's as their own. Although I wouldn't say Sean Marks was greatly successful so you can have him! However just keep your hands off Lorde and Steven Adams :thumb:
