Are the stars aligning? Minny/Houston GDT
Last night was great fun, so I'm sorry I need to miss tonight's game. I'll try to catch the reply later tonight. But since I teed up last night's GDT, I thought we should try to keep a good thing going.
Normally a night in Houston isn't something to look forward to, but the Wolves are catching a couple breaks tonight. Most importantly, the guy KiwiMatt might refer to as "The American Steve Adams" is out, and those 19 points and 12 rebounds are difficult to replace. I like Gorgui matched up against Omer Asik much more than against Dwight. And secondly, the marvelously gifted Chandler Parsons has come back to earth, and is playing much more like the Parsons of two years ago. I haven't heard of any injuries, but he has not been shooting well. Only 10 PPG his last five, and only hitting 20% of his threes. And his last three games he has scored 2, 9 and 6 points. Let's hope he doesn't find himself tonight.
As a team, Houston has not been playing well lately, having lost three of its last four. But still they are a surprising 7 1/2 point favorite, perhaps a nod to the Wolves having played a tough overtime game last night. It's gut check time for the Lobos. Rubio was incredible last night in his extended minutes, still getting to the basket with regularity late in the game. And Love was the game-winning leader we need him to be in the final minutes. But what will they have left in the tank tonight? Tune in and find out.
There's a rookie from UCLA sitting on your bench, Rick, who may not be too tired after last night's game...just a thought in case the boys come out flat.

this is one of the most obvious scheduled losses this season, I would be shocked if we won

Wow....Gorgi Dieng has been dominating for multiple games in a row he just missed a double double in the first
Re: Are the stars aligning? Minny/Houston GDT
Kevin Love must be getting sick of Gorgui stealing his rebounds!
As LST pointed out Dwight "Wishes he was Steven Adams" Howard is a big loss and gives us a good sniff at victory tonight.

Adelman plays all bench players and lets them go on a 17-0 run FUCK YOU ADELMAN
Re: Are the stars aligning? Minny/Houston GDT
God dam this team needs a better bench. Why the hell isn't Adelman playing Bazz and Shved. They're both better than the crap that Adelman's relying on!

Pretty much sums up Adelman's mind set. Unbelievably stupid rotations and coaching.
Re: Are the stars aligning? Minny/Houston GDT
So Adelman brings back in all the starters at the same time.
I have no doubts that under another NBA calibre coach this would have been a playoff team this season.
His rotations are mind boggling at times.
