Rubio's been much more agressive finishing. I still think if he can get the right coaching and bulk up a bit, that number can be even higher. Rubio seems to be able to get to the rim as easy as anybody. He doesn't even have to be a good jumpshooter to be an elite PG if he can finish at the rim

I think the right coach will get more out of this team. I am sure their are a few coaches watching us knowing this job is open next year and would love the opportunity to coach Rubio/Love/Pek/Brewer/KMartin/Shabazz/Deing.

Two things that have jumped out at me about Rubio. The first is more arc on his jump shot. He isn't incredibly consistent with that yet, but I think it will come. The second and bigger improvement has been his ability to finish with his left hand on the layups. He isn't falling trying to throw up the right hand bank shot when driving to the left.

Benz and Peterson were talking last night how Ricky used the allstar break to work with a shooting coach. That was nice to hear. I think in the paint though, it is a mental issue more than anything for Ricky. If his mindset is to score, he does it rather easily. If he keeps this approach, he won't be able to work with a shooting coach over the allstar break anymore because he will be an allstar.

Thanks for those stats, alex. I had a feeling he was finishing much better, but your stats really highlight it. Really helps this club offensively.

He's also shooting well from outside the arc...over 35% on the year now. He missed a big one last night, but I was glad he took it. He needs to keep defenses honest.

He has been a different player offensively and defensively post-All star break, and it shows in the Wolves' record. Great to see, plus his game last night was probably the best of his career

Problem is Rubio can't put up that kind of effort over a full season. He just gets worn down too much. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ricky have a stinker tonight. We have to find a backup PG who hold down the offense for extended periods of time
