I think so, Matt. Rubio is always going to get easy buckets for whoever his center is, and Dieng significantly changes our defensive performance. I love Pek, but if we're looking for assets that can bring a significant return, we should at least be open to offers for Pek.

even if you know he's going to take the next 10 games off? Williams will always be a tease at best.

I can't speak of what he's doing when he's not playing us because I don't watch it. But he sure looks better than LRMAM to me.

He does, cool, but I just have no tolerance for players who don't give it all every night. There's just no excuse for it. I'm glad he's gone, and it doesn't really matter to me what we got in return.

That's probably his best role, but I'm trying to stay open to deals that could make us better, and Pek is a significant asset in that regard. And we just can't ignore his inability to stay healthy. 62 games last year, and I would bet he doesn't get that many this year. He may be done now at 51 games. This last injury has flipped me around on Pek...he's expendable in my view.

Good to get the win, but a bit discouraging that we had to labor so hard for it at home against the Kings. A few thoughts:

- I totally agree with Cool's earlier comment that Love lost the wind from his sails, starting with the last game. He seems to be mixing it up less inside and floating more on the perimeter.

- Dieng was awesome. He's a guy whose defensive potential I absolutely love. And he's not just a shotblocker. He knows how to guard pick and roll, he has quick hands, and he can close out on shooters.

- Gay and Williams are horrible matchups for Brewer to guard. They are bigger, stronger, and more athletic. I think we need to see more of Luc with the first unit against these sorts of matchups. The problem with Luc when he's subbed in late is that he's stuck out there with Barea, Cunningham, and a bunch of other guys that can't shoot or create. Since he can't either, we just have an impossible time scoring with the 5-man hockey shift approach.

- We still miss way too many open 3's.

- At this point, it's time to shelve Budinger and give Shabazz his minutes.

Dieng probably came close to playing more meaningful minutes in tonight's game than he has in the first 64 games combined.

Yet Shabazz doesn't even see the court. What is going through that guy's head right now?

There is simply no rhyme or reason to what Adelman is doing anymore.

In Adelman's defense, he had less options at Center, with both Turiaf and Pek out. That leaves Dieng as their only true Center that's healthy. Meanwhile, we have an over-abundance of mediocre-to-average small forwards: Brewer, Mbah Moute, Hummel, Shabazz, and Budinger.

But yeah, at this point, what do we have to lose? I personally think Budinger needs to be shut down for the rest of the season. We're 30 games in since he came back and he still can't knock down shots or get to the rim.

The fact that Petersen and Lynch are so defensive about Dwill's night should tell what they really think about the trade. They keep whining about DWill being inconsistent, but who on our bench isn't? How many of them can go off for a night like DWill did tonight? Lynch says you can't play DWill because you don't know what you will get on a nightly basis. So your options are a horrible night from our bench guys like DC, Bud, Luc, etc. or a bad night from DWill with the possibility of a night like tonight. Oh, I forgot to mention he was the youngest guy of all of the above listed inconsistent bench guys. Petersen said Hummel had a great game????? I guess that means that DWill has had about 25 great games since joining SAC!

Would we be out of the PO's if DWill had posted three or four games like this for us?

The vitriol for Dwill was always mental. I guess when there is an issue of someone not playing up to "potential" there is going to be some stubbornness but it was always too much. The kid never got a proper look here and was traded at the worst possible time when his value couldn't have been lower and we got nothing in return. So sad.

Add Shabazz should get Luc's minutes too. He should have played tonight. I would be pissed if I was flip. I would send Hummell to the D-league for the rest of the year.

Watch a game of Dwill's that isn't against the wolves, Or just look at his numbers for the season. He's just not a good player. Not someone to be mad about leaving. Plus he's going to be making 7 mil a year with his new extention
