Funny how the rockets offense seems to run twice as well as the wolves, and we supposedly have the offensive genius calling the shots.
If you want to see the difference in these two teams, watch the FT's. Our players make no effort for offensive rebs other than Dieng, while the rockets are fighting for everyone of them.
If I was Shabazz, I would of told Adelman to pack sand when he told me to go in. Nice that our coach already threw in the towel with about 8-10 minutes left in the game again.

Mchale is an under rated coach. His teams are always fun to watch. Too bad there is no chance of him coaching the wolves ever with flip in charge and minority owner now.
We got our butts handed to us. Dieng is the bright spot tonight. 22-21 game. The kid has a future in this league.

kiwi, i can see the argument for bazz but shved?? you have been saying this a lot but im sorry, shved is terrible. You can argue that he needs to play pg and all but the fact is, the times he has the ball in his hands this season have not resulted in anything positive. He sucks.
Shved is a PG who is most effective with the ball in his hands. Barea is more of an SG undersized whose more effective playing off the ball. Unfortunately Adelman never figured that out and that has ultimately been Shved's downfall.
I still have faith that Shved can develop in to a serviceable back up PG in this league under a different coach.

Donatas Motiejunas scored 20 points off 9 from 11 shooting against us tonight.
We drafted him at 20 in the 2011 draft only to trade him away with Jonny Flynn for Brad Miller. Another bone headed move by Kahn that's come back to haunt us.
I know I'd prefer Donatas Motiejunas as our back up PF than Dante Cunningham.
The ghost of David Kahn haunts us.

Tired legs tonight. Dieng was the only one in the starting lineup that seemed energized. Everyone else was kind of blah.
Gorgui is even starting to surprise me, and I'm his biggest fan! My goodness, a 20-20 game in only his third start?!? As a rookie? And don't forget the 4 dimes too. He is not a one-dimensional player by any means.

I remember we got a number 1 pick back in this trade, whatever happened tot hat pick?
Right now, flip needs to overhaul the roster and he needs to make a big move( trading pek or matin). If he only looks to upgrade the bench, then we are going to be a perennial 8th seed chaser.
Martin needs to go or flip needs to bring in a wing that is better than martin and make martin a 6th man. We simply cant count on martin in big games and clutch situations. His numbers look good but he has minimal impact in us winning games and as the current best wing scorer, he cant be counted on to bring it every game.

Considering the fact that Martin might be one of the best two or three shooting guards in the entire history of Wolves basketball, I'm not sure it's that easy to just suddenly replace him with someone better.
And while I don't disagree with your assessment that Martin tends to be a bit of a shrinking violet when the game tightens up late, he has been critical to preserving leads for us when the foul game begins. It wasn't that long ago that he single-handedly maintained our lead by drowning free throw after free throw. Love doesn't even do this.
I'd love nothing more than to relegate Martin to a 6th man role. I just can't think of who takes his place, especially with a starting PG and SF that aren't known for their shooting and scoring.
Re: Are the stars aligning? Minny/Houston GDT
Donatas Motiejunas (20th) and Jonny Flynn were traded to Houston for Brad Miller and Nikola Mirotic (23rd) who in turn traded to Chicago for cash I believe.
Now Mirotic is one of the most promising players in Europe.

Q, I dont think martin is good enough to be the lead wing player for a playoff caliber team. He just doesnt impact the game the way you want your lead wing too. We need an alpha dog and not a soft 1 way player who dont make plays for his teammates. He was literally shying away from the ball in our ot win over dallas last night.
Thats why flip needs to find someone better than martin either by trading him in a package or trading pek(our best asset). We need roster changes to build 1 last time around love and rubio. MArtin as your best wing player wont cut it. He may not be the problem but we need a solution and he aint that.
