I was there for every game in the dome (How great was the Jordan Bulls game!), so I'm going to try to do this from memory also...then I'll look it up. My recollection is that we selected Mahorn from another team, buy he chose not to play here. Also, I think Tony Campbell was the original SG. Any I remember a plodding white guy who I think was named Todd Murphy at PF. Okay, I'm going to google.

Hey, no googling! And yes, Campbell was a starter too at SG or SF. Mahorn came as our first pick in the expansion draft, he didn't play at all?

I thought it would be fun, in this our 25th anniversary season to forget, to recall our fond memories of the 1st season.

I'm embarrassed I forgot about Sam Mitchell at SF...my wife's favorite player, since he would always wink at her the few times we got to sit next to Jimmy Jam in the courtside seats the first year at TC. But I have purposely forgotten that Sydney Lowe started at PG ahead of first round pick Pooh Richardson. Lowe was such a poor ball handler that he generally brought the ball across the center line backward to prevent his defender from stealing the ball...not a very exciting offense. But man was it fun to have the NB back in town after a 40 year absence!

Sorry, Lloyd...I cheated  . Yeah, Mahorn was our first expansion pick, but as I recall he refused to play for an expansion team...can't remember what kind of compensation we got. Good call on Ty Corbin...almost. He started 80 games that year, but not the opener.

How about the rifleman. Didn't he come over in the expansion draft from Indy?

Chuck Person, of course. Great vintage Wolf, but not an original....didn't join us until 1992.

And I believe an aging Randy Breuer was our backup C. I'm sure he didn't like wearing the short shorts back then for his skinny 7'3" frame.
