Trading Pek
Pek seems to be the player people would be open to trading of the big 3 to try and improve the team.
I can't really see an trade that would make us better outside of a trade with the Thunder. I know Pek and Love are friends, but Love is more worried about winning then having Pek as a teammate.
So the trade I would want to do:
Pekovic for Perkins, Lamb, and Adams.
Thunder get the big offensive center that is a perfect to pair with Ibaka. If the Thunder meet the Griz in the playoffs and lose they would be all over this.
Wolves get an veteran big that is on an expiring contract and 2 young players to rotate in. Lamb would be the SG of future and present moving Kevin Martin to the bench. Adams would give us another young center to groom. He and Dieng would provide a good pair to play next to Love for years to come.

trading a proven guy for 2 unproven guys and the worst starter in the NBA. Sounds like a wolves move for me. Love would love that

I think Perkins contract expiring after next year is a plus. We would have JJ, LRMM, Shved, and Pek coming off the books. It would give us over +8M in space in the summer of 2015 after giving Rubio his QO. If we could dump Kevin Martin or Chase we would have over 13M.

the thunder wouldn't do this trade for a guy that can't stay on the court

How is Pek valuable again to somebody else at 12 million per year at approx. 60 games a year?

Re: Trading Pek
One negative I have read a lot about trying to improve our team by offering up Pek is that it would upset Kevin Love. Where is the evidence that Love and Pek are friends? I have never heard any reports about them hanging out together away from the court. In fact, they seem like completely different guys to me. Can you imagine Kevin Love ice fishing? For all we know, Kevin may really resent Pek's inability to stay healthy.
Love seems to be primarily interested in two things...money and winning. He's got the first, and is seeking the other. If Flip could get back something for Pek that would lead to more wins, I suspect that Love would be very happy with that move.
Don't get me wrong...I love Pek. I just don't know that he is right guy to pair with Rubio and Love. And his penchant for missing games with "soft" injuries needs to be factored in when determining if the Wolves are getting maximum value for the $12 million they are shelling out.

Or maybe Kevin Love isn't stupid if they trade Pek, a guy who produces, thinking thats the problem, when he's looking over at JJ and the rest of the bench and saying HEY! let's get rid of these guys before doing anything stupid

Re: Trading Pek
Also to say that the Love-Pek-Rubio pairing isn't working, how do you explain being top 10 in both offensive and defensive efficiency, 3rd in the league in points, despite having the 3rd worst scoring bench in the league!
