The Kevin Love Wolves vs Lakers Game Thread
Re: The Kevin Love Wolves vs Lakers Game Thread
Great and fun blowout win!
Pek mush have read this board. He sure made a statement tonight. Love literally chase his trip[ple double tonight. Great and efficient game from him. Very well played game. Dieng came of the bench but you can tell he is playing with a lot more confidence now.

Are we really judging them based upon their performance against the weak sisters of the poor?

well for the first two it's just another team added to the list they've broke out against in limited minutes, only adding fuel to the fire as to why they don't play more

nothing should be taken from a meaningless game...against the Lakers...at home...and up by 30

Pek played with a little extra pep in his step tonight! I think he got a little anxious watching Gorgui out there in his starting spot these last few games.
Seriously though, it was nice to see what our Center combination did tonight: 40 points and 12 rebounds on 14 of 15 shooting from the field and 12-15 from the line. That combination absolutely killed it tonight, along with Love. Fun to watch.

That's why I led with a qualifying statement, and yet...
Gorgui is doing it against everyone.
Shabazz may have passed MCW tonight to become the rookie leader in points per minute.
Shved has been forced to play out of position most of his NBA career. He's a point guard, and JJ isn't.
Somewhere tonight Flip Saunders is sitting thinking about Rick Adelman, and shaking his head.

I think someone mentioned it earlier in this thread, but it was funny how Nick Young was pretty much never heard from again once Mbah Moute was put on him. I still think Luc serves a purpose for this team. He just can't be put out there with a bunch of other offensively limited players.

I believe before the season started Flip said something along the lines on Shved is a PG and might have even referred to him as Rubio's back up.
Between the draft picks, Derrick Williams, and Shved it's mind boggling how much our GM and head coach are not even close to being on the same page.

good memory, rage...here's the article.
I've always admired Adelman...at least until this year...but his inability to identify Alexey's best position is baffling to me. http://www.yardbarker.com/all_sports/articles/wolves_guard_alexey_shved_re_tooling_game_in_offseason/14032535

Come on now. It's been like 2-3 weeks. It's way too much to ask at this point to assume he can do this over a 82 game schedule. Maybe someday, but not this soon
