Looks like Ja broke his hand.
Dlo, Rui and Reaves all came up big today
West Conference playoff thread
Re: West Conference playoff thread
I would have preferred a Laker loss, but DLo did have a pretty nice game. Vando and Beasley...not so much. That's a shame if Ja has a broken hand and is out for the season...he's a fun player to watch. It is a nice opportunity for our home town kid to step in and shine like he did last year. It's going to be tough for the Griz though without Adams, Clark and Ja. But I'll be cheering for them.

Man a slew of injuries happening. Hope the Wolves bout with the injury bug has come and gone.
Re: West Conference playoff thread
The Lakers looked good in that game, with a few secondary guys coming up really big. I mean Reaves literally took over that game in crunch time!
As much as I hate the Lakers, I find it tough to root for Memphis too. Sacramento on the other hand...would love to see them beat Golden State.

I love Kawhi
Re: West Conference playoff thread
I feel the same way, Cool. He’s all business when he’s on the court - a stoic, cold-blooded assassin. He’s one of a handful of NBA players, along with Giannis, Embiid, Jokic, Tatum and Doncic - who can single-handedly carry a team. LeBron and Durant used to be in that group, but time has taken just enough from them to knock them down a slight notch. I might be overly generous putting Doncic in that group.
If could take any player in the League for one season to win a championship it would be either Giannis of Kawhi.
You have to love what Westbrook did tonight. His shooting was horrible, but he showed that you can still be a positive force even when your shooting is horrendous. His defense, rebounding and passing were outstanding. That was a big win for the Clippers. The Suns still seem like a flawed team to me. I think they’ll regret the trade for Durant.
Re: West Conference playoff thread
Kawhi may still be the best player in the NBA. Crazy.

I had the same (sarcastic) thought when I heard about Ja's unfortunate injury. But then last night happened, and the Grizzlies won again without Ja. The Griz are now 27-8 when Ja doesn't play. 35 games is almost half a season...that adds up to 63 wins when projected over an entire season! When does the sample size get big enough that this trend can no longer be ignored?
A year ago some were excited about what the tandem of KAT and Dlo could do after we stioe a game in Memphis (good thing Ja played, right? ), but last night once again showed that neither regularly shows up when the bright lights are on. KAT basically cost us the game, and DLo was badly outplayed by a backup point guard. DLo missed 9 out of 11 shots, and had almost as many turnovers (3) as assists (4). It was clear from the start that the Russell/KAT experiment was doomed, and kudos to TC for moving on. Now the question is whether KAT fits with Ant and Rudy. I'm optimistic, but I understand why many here are not on board.

Dillon Brooks has replaced Kyrie Irving as the dumbest player in the Association. He trash talks LeBron after he "holds" him to 28/12/3 while only going 12/1/3 himself...perhaps the stupidest post-game analysis ever. Nice job poking the bear, dumb shit!
