DLO has played in 13 playoff games, and he has shot less than 50% from the field in every one of them. Further, since the 3 point line was brought into the league, 660 players have at least 200 field goal attempts in the playoffs. In terms of shooting percentage DLO ranks 656th. Only 4 players have performed worse in all that time.

Terminy and Johnson went on to say the Lakers could have acquired Conley instead of DLO, and what a bad mistake that was for them. See, I guess Rosas wasn't the head idiot after all.
I hear ya man. But we know DLO is super streaky, so I'm not going to be shocked if he drops 30 one or two of these nights. But yeah - no regrets for moving on. It will be very interesting if Lakers re-sign him and if they do...for how much/long. I'd think playing next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis should make things pretty easy, so his struggles so far could raise some eyebrows.

Updated VORP after three playoff games continues to match the eye test:

0.4 Edwards
0.1 Conley
0.1 Gobert
0.1 Anderson
The rest of the team are zero except...
(0.1) Towns (negative)
(0.1) Nowell (negative)

I think Edwards has done his part which is encouraging. Rudy has been just ok which unfortunately isn't enough to justify his salary (much less what we gave up to get him). Conley/Anderson are fine and doing about what I would hope/expect (although SloMo was shit this last game).

Towns has been a HUGE disappointment in the playoffs. And I think Nowell has finally played himself off next year's roster. Everyone is very replaceable or "meh". We've got some roster building to do this summer...

Nowell played himself off of next year's roster a couple months ago. He's been a total disaster this year.

The Ant VORP number is encouraging indeed, but man, he's as much to blame as anyone when it comes to choking late in games. Everyone talks about his fearlessness, but he has a long ways to go when it comes to decision making and court awareness.

And I guess as further condemnation of the Rosas Regime, here is the playoff VORP for players he brought in who are no longer with us:

Vando: Zero
Beasley: Zero
DLo : (0.1) negative- equal to Nowell, another minus guy he brought in.

Ant is a great asset for this first 43 minutes of most games. The last 5 are a different story. That has to change.

This is a good observation. But as some others have pointed out in the past...that might have something to do with teams specifically locking down on Edwards at end of games. We have to make teams pay for that with other guys getting (easy) buckets. That really hasn't been happening. I don't watch enough games to know if it's because Edwards isn't passing out of bad situations or if other guys just can't score/make shots?

I think the problem is he tries to put the game on himself and he stops playing the way he did all game. There may be a time when this is appropriate, but he's not there yet. I also don't think it's selfishness on his part, I think he feels like he has to take over to win the game.

He has been terrific at both ends of the court. He worked so hard last night...I got exhausted watching him! I liked Finchie giving him a breather at the start of the 4th quarter, but I was also glad to see him come back at the 8 minute mark. I would love to see the Wolves get Ant more easy buckets by working their offense, but they seem to prefer watching him play one on one (or two, or three)...much like he played in college. Oh well, at least it worked last night.

Timberwolves updated after 4 games:

0.6 Edwards
0.1 Gobert
0.1 Anderson
0.1 Conley
0.0 Rivers, NAW, Minot, Knight, Moore Jr. (obviously several of these guys have barely played)
(0.1) Towns (negative)
(0.1) Prince (negative)
(0.1) Nowell (negative)
(0.1) McLaughlin (negative)

The formula continues to match my eye test (and certainly the sentiments of the GDTs. I peeked at the Lakers to check in on the former Wolves. They've only played three games so far...

Russell/Vanderbilt are both 0.0 (Russell had a decent game 3)

Beasley is negative (0.1) and seems to be having a rough series.

We all know both Beasley and DLO can bust out of a slump with big nights, so in a way...I'd be a little nervous if I were a Griz fan. Maybe Nowell can bust out of his slump and give us a boost for game 5?
