Wemby to the Spurs

Post by kekgeek »

If it had to be a west team I’m happy it was them. Pop is never retiring.

The Spurs are a charmed franchise. Robinson gets hurt. dropping them from the top of the standings to the lottery and they end up with the top pick, Tim Duncan. But sometimes you make your own luck too. This is exactly what the Spurs were aiming at when they unloaded their young vets, D. Murray and Poeltl.

Note that the Blazers ended up with the 3rd pick and the Rockets with the 4th pick. The West will get tougher in the coming years.

Just need Vegas and Seattle to join the league so the wolves go out east.

I’m just happy it’s the spurs because they don’t have other pieces around Wemby at the moment

The hornets gets the number 2 pick. Thats interesting as the consensus pick is scoot henderson and he plays the same position as their best player lamelo ball. I prefer keeping towns over rudy but if the number 2 pick or ball ia in play for a possible town deal then im for it.

There has been a lot of Brandon Miller buzz lately. People really worried about Scoot jumper

Awesome news for Spurs! He's going to a great place to develop.

As far as trading for the second pick to get Scoot, I'm all for it, as long as we keep Ant and McDaniels. I just don't think Charlotte would want KAT enough to trade away the pick. I'm thinking they build around a young core of LaMelo and Scoot/Miller. Charlotte probably is open to trading Rozier, but I can't think of a trade involving the Wolves that would make both teams happy.

What about Portland at 3 or Detroit at 5? Portland is still committed to Dame who is running short on time and Detroit has been trying to accelerate their process for the last few years. I'd think they'd have some interest.

Making the money match is gonna be the tough part.

Detroit would probably give you 2 1's but their filler is basically Bagley, Wiseman and Hayes

Portland is pretty much 2 1's, Nurkic, Keon Johnson and Simons

That’s right. Neither Detroit nor Portland have anything close to the player assets needed to get a decent return for KAT.
