Wolfson has reported that the wolves are interested in Tyus Jones
That might be but we really only have Naz Reid, Slomo or Conley to offer. Not sure that we have much outside our big 4 that would interest Memphis as they need Tyus more than ever with Ja out for 25 games. Wolves had his rights and let him go and they could have signed him last year too. I'll be p*ssed if we give up much to get him as I was one who preferred him over DLO. I also think that Tyus is a free agent next year, so really don't want to give up more than Naz, Moore or a couple second rounders for a year of Tyus.
I’m glad that Doogie is the source because I think it would be dumb to give up any assets for Tyus.
I’ll just add that I doubt the Wolves would have been able to sign Tyus he got more money from Memphis than what the Wolves could have offered him.
Are the Wolves interested in Tyus? Sure that doesn’t seem too far fetched. Is there a path to getting him? Seems pretty unlikely. Great Scoop Wolfson!

So it looks like Boston got Porzingis in return for Brogdon and Gallo. They gave up one very good rotation player and an old ineffective player who didn’t play at all last season. If healthy, Porzingis is elite. Seeing this makes the Gobert deal even more painful.
If Porzingis can stay healthy…
Obviously it’s a good bet for Boston and they don’t have to play him a ton in the regular season.
For Washington they get a decent draft pick and continue to start over. A year ago acquiring Amir Coffey would have been a nice low level move as he had played pretty well. He could be a guy they play a decent chunk and he looks good and they move to a team for an asset. They aren’t exactly killing it trading guys but I don’t think that’s what they are going for.
Kristaps Porzingis trade to Boston has fallen apart

Interestingly enough, Prince and either Jmac or Moore would work for Tyus after July 1st. To make the deal tomorrow, the Wolves would have to include a 3rd piece, such as Nate (or both Jmac and Moore). I'm not sure what Memphis is looking to accomplish? Maybe they know they can't re-sign Tyus next offseason?
I saw somebody mention Conley, but I don't see TC moving one of the few adults he has in the room. Conley was pretty effective for us, plus he really helps Rudy. I just don't see Conley being moved this offseason.

Celts get zingis and two first rounder for marcus smart. They win this deal by a lot.
I agree that the Celtics did really well in this deal getting Porzingis AND two first round picks for Smart. But I think Memphis did well also. Marcus Smart will make Memphis better. He fits their culture of toughness and he’s a winner. He also helps fill the gap created by Ja Morant’s suspension. I’d call this a win-win. The only loser in the deal is the Wizards. But they were in a tough spot because Porzingis could have walked as a free agent.
It’s interesting to see how the good front offices always do well. Boston and Memphis are two prime examples of high quality smart front offices. The Wizards front office is the opposite.
