If he had an outside shot, he would have been a lottery pick. I'm ok with a Gary Payton clone and maybe he can develop a shot and be a steal.
Wolves Draft Thread

Re: Wolves Draft Thread
There are some good players that won't get drafted. Who should we sign?
Re: Wolves Draft Thread
I’ve seen Bruce Brown comps. Seems like a perfect 2-way contract guy. Obviously to make it in the nba he’ll need to be able to shoot but getting the nations best defender where opponents shot 18% in iso situations though out his career, I love it.
Re: Wolves Draft Thread
It’s not just that he’s a poor shooter, his shot is widely regarded as broken. And then there’s the Achilles injury. That’s a big unknown. Pick 54 went to my guy Isaiah Wong - ACC player of the year. That was the guy to take at 53 in my opinion. Defense is important, but this is a league of scorers and we need guys who can shoot and score. When KAT went down last season, Ant had to shoulder WAY too much of the offensive burden. What has TC done so far to remedy that situation? We had the 23 rated offense last season, down from 8 the year before. We can’t just rely on KAT being healthy. But the offseason isn’t over so we’ll have to stay tuned.

Mike Miles to Dallas on a 2-way...
I still like our draft. With our dearth of 1st rounders for a few years, it's nice to have control of a couple of players who could be a real factor in 2 or 3 years.
Now on to the free agent work TC needs to get done.

We do have FA yet and a few trade assets. I wouldn't be too concerned yet. Tonight went a lot better than I expected. Miller, Clark, and Minott are good prospects to have.(I'm not high on Moore at all).Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 11:46 pmIt’s not just that he’s a poor shooter, his shot is widely regarded as broken. I’m changing my tune on Jaylen Clark. Until a few minutes ago, I’d just read some draft reviews about him and looked at his stats. After watching some videos of him, I disagree with the draft reviews that say his shot is broken. It looks pretty good to me so I believe it can improve substantially with hard work and repetition. I also like his passing ability and he’s a solid ballhandler. I’m still worried about the Achilles injury, but I’m thinking he was a good gamble at 53. It’s sort of like Minott last year. I didn’t have Minott on my radar so I didn’t see any of his videos or spend much time thinking about him. After he was selected, I did more homework on him and became impressed. And as it turns out, all the talk about his shot being broken turned out to be off base.
But I still think we should have drafted Isaiah Wong.
