If JMAC is guaranteed, then is free agency done for the Wolves as I think we have 15 rostered players. Anyone else confirm this. Garza and Ryan, I think are signed for two-ways. Do we have a third two-way to offer?

I think there will be some good players who will be taking a minimum salary to stay in the NBA. I was hoping we'd have a spot left to snag someone like Mo Bamba or Jaxson Hayes on a minimum deal.

Doogie said they picked it up.

So with Garza and Ryan. Teams can offer them an NBA contract but the wolves can match it (meaning a player would need to be cut). My guess is they will wait to see if Garza gets a contract, if he does the sign him to the main roster and Clark gets the 2-way, if no contract Garza gets the 2-way and Clark gets the nba contract. They do have another 2-way also though.

So for the most part I think the wolves are done.

Out: Rivers, Prince, Nowell, knight
In: Milton, Brown, Clark, Miller

Wolfson reported and in one tweet Jon K acknowledged that he got that one so looks pretty legit. Seems to make sense with the moves they made. McLaughlin gives them a true PG with a combo guy in Shake.

ESPN Reporting with @_andrew_lopez: Free agent F Herb Jones has agreed on a new four-year, $54M deal to stay with the Pelicans, his agents Mark Bartelstein and Kieran Piller of @PrioritySports tell ESPN. Pels declined his option on a minimum salary to secure him long-term.

Free agent Josh Richardson has agreed on a two-year deal with the Miami Heat, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Richardson returns to the franchise that drafted him in 2015.

Shake Milton: 2 years, $10 million (team option Year 2)
Nickeil Alexander-Walker: 2 years, $9 million
Troy Brown Jr.: 2 years, $8 million (team option Year 2)

Short term crafty moves

That means next summer

Milton, Brown, Conley, Anderson, McLaughlin all become free agents. If they have to make a move with KAT next summer, that's where the roster spots open up

Damn Milton's numbers are a starter were crazy good. Maybe he just needs the opportunity. Like the pick up andcheap as well.

I'm sure he sees a really good opportunity here to get legit playing time.

If someone like Moore or Clark or a draft pick is ready to take over minutes from those guys they can let them go. All 3 guys have good opportunities here to get playing time and possibly even become staters someday.

FNG wrote: Fri Jun 30, 2023 6:23 pm The Cam Johnson deal is an interesting comp for Jaden. Here's how they stack up, with Jaden's number first:

Points per 36: 14.2 for Jaden, 19.4 for Cam
Rebounds per 36: 4.6, 5.6
Assists per 36: 2.2, 2.4
TS%: 61.1, 61.1
ORtg: 115, 120
DRtg: 115, 114
Fouls per 36: 2.5, 4.1
Steals per 36: 1.1, 1.6
Blocks per 36: 1.1, .3 113.6

We all love Jaden here, but it's difficult to find a stat where he is better than Cam (other than blocked shots). If Cam got 108/4, doesn't 100/4 make sense for Jaden on the high side?
Jaden is 5 years younger than Cam, a better defender and Cam shoots 4 more shots per game than mcdaniels per 36
Cam has fewer turnovers per minute and has won 4 playoff series, though.
Both kek's and KG's added data are true. If I'm negotiating with Jaden's agent though, I can refute Kek's points fairly easily. I agree that my eye test tells me Jaden is a better defender (although Johnson is also a terrific defender), but with the exception of blocks per 36, all the defensive metrics favor Cam. In addition to the ones above, Cam's defensive rating on statmuse is better than Jaden's...Cam was 113.6 last year and 111.7 for his career, and Jaden was 115.1 last year and 114.6 for his career. I still think $25 million per year is a generous offer for Jaden when you take into account what Cam got.
