At first I thought you meant Dane Moore. :). Yep, Dame has finally asked for a trade. Surprised it took this long. The Blazers decided to begin a rebuild before the draft but forced Lillard to be the “bad guy” and ask out.

The the question of the day is this: Where will Lillard end up? Lead suitors in my view are Miami, Lakers, Clippers, Knicks, and Sixers. I think he’ll end up in Miami. Pat Riley always seems to get what he wants. :)
Yeah I was thinking Dane Moore also. Lol

I don’t see why Dame is the bad guy. He kept saying he wanted to stay when other guys may have asked out. It makes sense for him to move on and the Blazers to get something for him. The Blazers weren’t gonna just send him somewhere in a deal.
Dame’s NOT the bad guy. That’s why I put the term in quotes. But Portland is obviously trying to frame it in a way that absolves the organization of any blame for losing him. It’s unnecessary in my view. Just admit to a joint parting of the ways and get a good deal for Dame. That will make the fan base happy.

Yeah we agree. I just read the quote from the Blazers GM. Yeah you could say they are willing to let Dame be the bad guy I was giving them some benefit of the doubt as it’s a tough SL plot regardless. Ultimately I don't think there is a bad guy but I also really don’t care that much either. I do hope for Portland fans that they get something fairly good for Dame and I wish the best for him too.

It will be interesting to see what the return for him is. I would think his value would be pretty high. Weren’t the Knicks supposedly very interested last year? Has that changed?

Dillion Brook got 4 years 80 million…I was not expecting that kind of numbers. I guess if you consider him a 2 way starting wing then I mean that’s worth a chunk of money. I guess someone doesn’t hate him. Lol

I wouldn’t look to Houston as a good measuring stick of success. Houston is making a lot of dumb decisions in my view. The Lakers re-signed Reaves for about the same as we’re paying Naz. That’s a better measure.

How many undrafted guys got at least 10+ million a year this offseason? FVV got 40+ million. I know the salaries are rising and all that but it does seem like a lot of undrafted guys got paid which I think is kinda awesome.

Shams Charania: Just In: Charlotte Hornets All-Star LaMelo Ball is finalizing a five-year designated maximum contract extension that is worth up to $260 million, league sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium . 8 hours ago – via Twitter ShamsCharania

That’s a little over $50M per year. This is what Ant will get. I don’t know what the starting salary will be in 2024-25, but it’s got to be around $40M at least. Jaden likely starts around $30M. This news about LaMello’s max deal and other deals like Desmond Banes’ should put an end to the fantasy a few are clinging to that the Wolves can keep Rudy and KAT beyond next season. They can’t. Keeping them both for one more season just doesn’t make sense.
