Not surprising at at but good to get it done.
JUST IN: Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star Anthony Edwards and WME Sports’ Bill Duffy are finalizing a five-year maximum contract extension that can reach $260 million, sources tell me and @JonKrawczynski.
Ant signs max extension
Re: Ant signs max extension
Now we root for Ant to be a 1st team all nba player because that means he is so good the pay jump won’t really matter. Or that he doesn’t make all nba do the wolves don’t get screwed financially
Re: Ant signs max extension
No options also. He is under contract for 5 years. What is huge that he didn’t get that player option

Now in todays nba players can just ask out whenever but wolves at least have leverage over the situation for one more year if they situation ever arises
Re: Ant signs max extension
I'm going to root for him to be good enough to make all NBA, but to get cheated out of it like Jaden was for All defense. We save $10 million and also get to have a thread whining about it!
Man, how lucky are we to have this guy around for another 6 years!
Re: Ant signs max extension
It was sure to happen but nice to see it done and like someone said no option year for Edwards.
Re: Ant signs max extension
Yes, it’s just great to have it nailed down. And great news about no option in the final year. The significance of that can’t be overstated given the history of this franchise. Now it’s on to Jaden McDaniels. I like moving forward with Edwards, Jaden, Naz, Minott and Miller long term. Now it’s up to the front office to assemble a sustainable contender around those talented players.
Re: Ant signs max extension
Ant signed a 5yr extension without a whisper of concern (via his social media or leaked via his agent) about Rudy or any of member of the team. That’s great news, and I hope we can put that rumored difficulty to bed for now.

Re: Ant signs max extension
Isn't he still only 21? I mean he could be in college still, not be an All Star already. Which had me thinking that he simply didn't have the experience really to play the pick and roll lob game with Rudy. He is still a young player so and he is making improvements year over year (unlike the other guy who is 27 or 28 who thinks his defense is great but leads the league in fouls).
