I just saw that Bol Bol was waived. Last year he seemed to be a breakout candidate with the ability to shoot 3s and block shots and he got a lot of positive writeups as a poor man's Wembayana and he put Mo Bamba on the bench. Now both Bol and Bamba are off the team. I'm a little surprised to see Bol cut as Orlando didn't really add any new bigs in the lottery or in free agency. So now their rotational bigs are Wendell Carter, Banchero and Moritiz Wagner with Bitadze (who they picked up late last year) and Jonathan Isaac (injury) as depth.
Saw a bunch of tweets advocating Wolves to sign him. If we have a roster spot to burn, I'd take a flyer on him, or keep him for center trade insurance, that is if another team doesn't scoop him up which I think will happen.

I was surprised to see this as well. The few times I saw him last year he looked pretty good.

But statistically, there ain't much to love, or even like. While we might be looking at an impending KAT and/or Rudy trade in a year or two, I having a hard time seeing Bol Bol developing into a serviceable replacment.
Pass.
Pass.

Not sure which of these things surprised me more Bol Bol getting cut or Mo Wagner getting 2 years 16 million. He had a nice season which actually doesn’t surprise me but yeah. Wait he just turned 26 a few days ago. I thought he was at least a year older.
I had noticed last year Bol Bol was doing one good things. I had thought maybe that was another young injury issue talented guy that Connelly traded away that didn’t work out positively. Orlando dumped him which means nobody wanted to trade for him and was willing to sign him later. Apparently he was much less good the 2nd half of the season statistically. It sure seems like there is talent there but I’m not sure the Wolves are the right fit. It will be interesting to see if anyone puts in a waiver claim.

Yeah, I think he started off well and kind of faded. He's slight and can get pushed around in the paint. Not really a center unless he is able to beef up, and not sure he has the genetic build for that. Probably a backup or depth 4. Block and Triple skills are the rave with Wemby and even Holmgren, but those guys should be able to beef up and be complete players. I'm fine with a pass on Bol Bol, but when I was trolling for Timberwolves news on Twitter, lots of mentions of Bol Bol came up.

Our roster is already too skinny!
