Down by 15 at half to winless Charlotte. Brandon Williams is out. Wolves shooting has been terrible. Miller has 7 rebounds, so there's that. Cooke is 4 for 4 and Trevion Williams is 1 for 1.

Forgot it was today. I’ll watch later. Williams being out sucks but not surprising. Scoring may be hard to come by for the Wolves with him out.

I had seen enough mediocrity in the first four games. No need to suffer any further! Disappointing summer league for the Wolves.

Hard to take away much from four summer league games - at least not much that’s relevant to the Minnesota Timberwolves. My main take-away is that neither Minott nor Miller is ready to be a positive rotation contributor to an NBA team, but I continue to be high on the talent and potential of both. My secondary take-away is that the Wolves should seriously consider giving their third 2-way contract to Brandon Williams. He was the only member of our summer league squad who looked like an NBA player and his G-League stats over two years support that assessment.

This is the second year in a row the wolves summer league teal was completely underwhelming. It’s not so much the headliners are bad, it’s that the players surrounding them suck. That’s a choice by Wolves leadership… they must not put any stock into summer league, so I guess we shouldn’t either. They don’t seem to care about the product they put on the court in LV.

I agree on Williams. I only watched the quick highlight packages but he easily stood out. How is his shooting?

I think Miller looked pretty solid, again I only saw highlights though. Hard to tell for sure. Minott was a little underwhelming. I kind of feel like Miller is closer to NBA ready then Minott.

Finally watched this game.

Moore actually looked pretty good in the first half. 15 points in 18 mins is pretty good. Yeah he shot poorly from 3 but he also took 6 3’s. I’m not buying what has been suggested that he lacks confidence.

DJ Carton isn’t there yet but I see a guy that could someday make the NBA as a combo guard that defends plays within himself and uses his athletic ability. He ended up averaging almost 7 assists in less than 26 mins this summer and does some good stuff. Like Q says he is another guy that needs to be able to make 3’s but what I thought was significant was he showed signs of being pretty good defensively. If he can build on that and do it all the time…he might make an NBA roster as a somewhat versatile low ceiling high floor guard

Cook seemingly got a little better every game. He did some more nice stuff out there in this one.

Minott when he can get downhill and int he paint he seems to have a knack on how to finish. He isn’t good on defense yet not even close whether it’s individual defense or team defense. I’d be willing to through him out there to use his energy athletic ability and length here and there though.

Miller was a mixed back in this game.

Hornets really shot the heck out of the ball and played well.

Timberwolves D was horrific at times. This was a pretty bad showing because basically they were playing their best players except no Brandon Williams…and they got smoked by a team that hadn’t won yet. Yikes. Does it matter? Like Sundog said maybe it really doesn’t but it’s a little disappointing.

Overall this summer league was a mixed bag. We saw some really nice flashes from Miller, minot kinda did his thing but not much progress from last year, Moore was ok-ish and Williams was about the only other guy that was worth talking about. Spagnolo wasn’t able to play but nobody was expecting him to come over this year anyways so we can just follow his season next year and see what happens. I’d give this SL a B- mostly because Miller looked really good at times and I did think Carton overall showed some good things. I hope he is back at Iowa.
