George Zakkas: Done deal: Juancho Hernangomez SIGNED an €4.5M two-year contract with Panathinaikos BC. #paobc @SdnaGr

Shame on TC for letting Juancho get away to Greece. As far as I’m concerned, this latest news closes the door on my interest in filling the Wolves 15th roster spot. :)

Then I looked up who had that pick and wondered how it ended up that the Pistons had it back before moving it to move up to get Sasser in this draft. The link below explains that pick had quite a journey. That ended up being a pretty nice pick fortunately Connelly was able to get #33 this year to take Miller. Does anyone remember the last time the Wolves had the 31st pick that they had acquired in a trade? :)

The last time (and only time) I remember the Wolves having the 31st pick was when they used it to draft Pekovic.
We have a winner!

Rosas clearly isn’t calling the shots with the Knicks. :)

Juancho is a reasonably talented guy that simply couldn’t put it together in the NBA. What’s crazy is he doesn’t turn 28 till September of this year. I’m sure he will enjoy playing internationally where he will have a legit role and make some decent money. I think he is a guy that plays better when he plays a reasonably high volume of minutes with a defined role. He will likely have that playing internationally. His NBA career is likely over but he probably has a few good years of basketball left and will make some good money doing that plus he will always have the fact that he was a co-star in “Hustle” which is honestly pretty damn cool.

Chris Haynes: Full NBA memo sent to all 30 teams regarding rhetoric on trade request made by Damian Lillard and his agent Aaron Goodwin. “Recent media reports stated that Damian Lillard’s agent, Aaron Goodwin, called multiple NBA teams to warn them against trading for Lillard because Lillard’s only desired trade destination is Miami. Goodwin also made public comments indicating that Lillard would not fully perform the services called for under his player contract if traded to another team. We interviewed Goodwin and Lillard and also spoke with several NBA teams to whom Goodwin spoke. Goodwin denied stating or indicating to any team that Lillard would refuse to play for them. Goodwin and Lillard affirmed to us that Lillard would fully perform the services called for under his player contract in any trade scenario. The relevant teams provided descriptions of their communications with Goodwin that were mostly, though not entirely, consistent with Goodwin’s statements to us. We have advised Goodwin and Lillard that any future comments, made privately to teams or publicly, suggesting Lillard will not fully perform the services called for under his player contract in the event of a trade will subject Lillard to discipline by the NBA. We also have advised the Players Association that any similar comments by players or their agents will be subject to discipline going forward.”

I’m glad the League addressed this. But does anyone truly believe that the Heat’s front office has had nothing to do with the Lillard campaign to force a trade to Miami?? I don’t see Lillard’s agent waging the sort of campaign he’s been waging without the complicity of the Heat organization. If the NBA is truly serious about addressing the situation they would investigate and call out the Miami Heat for what I have no doubt is their involvement in this effort by Lillard and his agent. If Lillard ends up in Miami, the Heat should face losing multiple future 1st-round picks.

I agree on the Heat's culpability in all this Lip. Problem is they won't have any first round picks left after the trade, unless the league wants to take away the odd year picks.

Yep. Take away the odd year picks. The League probably won’t do it because it’s Miami. If it were the Wolves the League would do it.

The Wolves also traded the draft rights of Cedi Osman, pick 31 to Cleveland as part of the Tyus Jones draft night trade.

Not sure where to put this - but as most of you know Jeff Van Gundy was fired from ABC/ESPN. Not a terrible loss until you see who they are replacing him with, Doris. And further, Doc Rivers is being hired for an on-air role. Yep, straight up vomit.
