Italy knocked off Serbia today. Spagnolo scored 12 points. Here's his highlights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Y5j_SHRM_Q&t=72s

France beat Lithuania and Rudy Gobert had 14 points and six rebounds in just 17 minutes. He was 6 for 6 from free throw line and 4 for 4 on two pointers. Sorry no three point shots.

NAW also played against Germany. I haven't been able to locate a box score yet or see someone list his final game stats but purportedly he was Canada's leading scorer at half time with 9 points (though unconfirmed) and scored 5 points late in game to rally Canada to a tie from a big deficit.

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker (Toronto, Ont.) lead four Canadians in double-figures with a team-high 17 points. Oklahoma City Thunder defensive stalwart Luguentz Dort (Montreal, Que.) scored ten of his 14 points in the fourth-quarter.

Not that I ever really see Spagnolo ever coming over but he did sign a 3 year deal overseas yesterday

That is great news! He's still our property without eating up a roster spot and that gives him enough time to either develop or not into a potential NBA rotation player.

NAW didn't score 17 points yesterday, but you might be referring to another game. I finally found box score (https://twitter.com/edilsonbuzz/status/ ... 3106126848) for yesterday's game against Germany and NAW scored 11 points on 4 of 11 shooting, he hit 3 of 7 three pointers, 1 rebound, 2 assists, 1 turnover, 1 steal, 1 block and was +6.

NAW outplayed SGA (who was 2 of 10 with a -13) in this one. :D

I bet that 3 year deal has multiple buyouts. Heck he signed a 3 year deal with Real Madrid and never played for them they had him on loan and I’m not sure if that’s over at this point or not. It seems he has been playing well for team Italy which is good to see.

It’s worth remembering he is still just 20 years old and turns 21 in January. He will be playing in the German league which will be interesting to find out of that league is a step up from the last league he played in. I also wonder if he will have a larger role there.

Like KG said it’s great to be having a young player developing elsewhere that doesn’t have any effect on the current roster. If he gets better every year he could also turn into a somewhat decent trade asset. I wouldn’t be surprised if at this point he already has a little more value than a random 50 something pick in the draft.

#Timberwolves prospect Matteo Spagnolo will be a fun watch playing for Italy in the World Cup. He does have #NBA outs after years 1 and 2 of the 3-year deal he signed this week with ALBA Berlin

I'm watching USA vs Spain and Ant has made the leap. It's a good game and they are running everything through Ant late. Ant dominating late on both ends. Something special is brewing.

Also international ball is so much fun. So much physicality but not as sloppy as college. Post play is not dead. Less complaining. Just good high level ball

Not a Fiba World game but Garza went for 15 and 12 in a win over Portugal today in a pre Olympic qualifier match. Playing the 4, he has lost a lot of weight by the looks of it
