Fun to watch Kat be really really good. He lived at the line today
The glass is half full for you. He shot well at the line, but his shooting efficiency was horrible against a Phillipine team. At least he was a plus 10.

Ya he wasn’t super efficient but you have to remember Kat is pretty much the only person you have to game plan against DR. DR pg is ok in Feliz. But players are going to have off shooting days and Kat was able to offset that with getting to the line on so many possessions. Kat team should make it out of the group now. Curious how they play against Italy now.

DR, Italy should both make it out of the group, then they will be put in a group with Serbia and a bad basketball country (possibly slow Mo and China).

DR could legit make it to the f8 on the back of Kat. Then they more than likely will run into Ant and USA. But T8 is legit possible and Kat team is pretty darn bad.

Well, you spoke too soon and may have jinxed him, given that he just put up a doughnut in limited minutes. I'm not sure he is 'best player" as Italy has several marginal NBA prospects that are probably equally talented. Given that I had close to zero expectations that he'd ever be a solid rotational player for the Wolves someday (as was the case with Bolmaro), he's been a minor surprise, but success in FIBA games doesn't always mean a whole lot. Its still fun to watch his progress as we still lack an heir apparent at point guard to Conley, though I hope the Wolves bring in a young point guard with their last roster spot or two way (such as TW, KC or BW).

Gotta wonder if he has some minor injury and that’s why he didn’t play more. It’s worth remembering his still just 20 years old. Watching highlights it does feel like his game has rounded out compared to last year or even a few months ago and he just looks like he is better and smoother at the things he does well. I don’t have high expectations for him but an offensively versatile combo guard that’s got SG size can be useful especially if he is signed cheaply. He is VERY motivated to play in the NBA so unless that changes we shouldn’t have to outbid the international game for his services. A rotational guard would be a win for a a guy picked late in the 2nd round.

That's an impressive win by Canada, wow. Good to hear NAW was a 3 &D stud. That's exactly what the Wolves are going to need from him.
What makes that even better is that NAW can actually handle the ball and make some plays/passes as well. He has potential to be that complimentary perimeter guy that can do a little of everything that lots of teams are looking for.

It’s interesting that Jordi Fernandez is the team Canada coach. It’s a pretty good roster.

USA has recovered and took the lead to end the first Q. Ant has been underwhelming

USA pulls away. Banchero, Haliburton and Reaves were all great. Ant was solid and finished with 24. He was just ok though
