LOL, Ant has two quiet games to start the tournament so he puts up 22 points in 18 minutes of playing time in Team USA's win against Jordan. He took twice as many shots as any other U.S. player, so it was obvious he was trying to get himself back on track against a very weak opponent. He added 4 assists, so he wasn't a total ball hog!

China finally gets a win in the loser's bracket.

Kyle Anderson 17/7/4 and played all but 1:55 as China beat Angola 76-83.

Rudy Gobert IS playing against Iran. 4/4/2 blocks in a shade under 10 minutes as France is up 8 at halftime.

I just checked the box score...Latvia led by 10 at the end of the first quarter and only trailed by 1 at the half. But Canada blew them out in the second half, and I can only conclude from the box that NAW's defense had to be a big part of the blowout. While he didn't start the game, he did end up with the most playing time (31:41) and despite shooting only 5-13, he was a +21...second only to Olynyk's +29. I know Ant's performance this summer has been quite heartening, but I wonder if we should be even more excited about how NAW has developed and produced.
I’m cautiously excited about NAW. Right now the four players who have already proven themselves to be reasons for getting excited about the Wolves (Ant, Jaden, Naz Reid & KAT) were brought in by past regimes. Rosas gave us Ant, Jaden and Naz. Flip gave us KAT. I’m waiting to see TC add at least one gem. Maybe NAW will be that guy. Maybe it will be Leonard Miller or Josh Minott. TC’s track record in Denver tells me he will hit on one or more young gems for the Wolves at some point if he hasn’t already. He certainly nailed the Kessler pick. Except for Moore and Spag, I really like all the young (under age 25) talent he’s added to the Wolves so far.
I've not been impressed. I have officially left the Minott bandwagon after watching him in summer league. Absolutely terrible defender. He isn't even close to Vanderbilt, as some have liked to compare him to. Offensively he has some potential, but he's a disaster defensively. And Miller's shine wore off the more I watched him - I have concerns. And Moore, being the oldest of the bunch, is about as plain vanilla mediocre as you can get as a player. Spagnola is stuck in Europe and Clark is out of commission with one of the worst injuries a player can have. Not a pretty picture!
I'm off the Minott bandwagon too as he hasn't really shined in any facet of the game outside of scoring in the paint and I didn't really see much improvement in his game from a summer ago. I am lukewarm on Moore. He has to be able to shoot a lot better than he did against summer league competition. However, I'm very thrilled with Leonard Miller as he is a multi-tooled player with great attitude, very coachable with good upside. I'd be fine with trading Minott and/or Moore as part of a trade to land someone like Monte Morris, who could fill the Conley role of being a good game manager, low turnovers, efficient scoring and respectable defense.

Ant with another inefficient outing, but Team USA got the win. So far not very impressed with his individual play, but the team is winning.

Lots to like in Miller in terms of his frame, motor, and attitude. As far as his actual on court performance - I'm not as impressed. He's even younger and has less experience than Minott, so by no means should we put a ceiling on him yet, but I'm skeptical based on how I saw him move and play in summer league. Small sample size of course.

Kat and DR were down 16 now have tied it. This is such a huge game because Italy upset Serbia

Because DR has had every game be close, it's put DR in a weird spot in terms of tiebreak, so this game is for all intents and purposes an elimination game for DR.

You know more than me, does the previous round games against phil and Angola count for pt differential in this group?

Also if they do lose this game they would be in a legit elimination game against Serbia
