Collectively, the players are confident and feel good about the upcoming season. My favorites interviews were Conley, Kyle, Ant, NAW, Jaylen Clark and Garza. I also enjoyed Troy Brown, Shake and Rudy's interview (Rudy had me laughing when he referred to himself in the third person, responding that transitioning to drop coverage is difficult to do, but not for Rudy). JMac says he's healthy and Leonard said everbody's been welcoming and that he's eager to learn. I'll be honest, the one interview that I didn't enjoy was Jaden's interview. Maybe it was the questions asked of him, but he responded that he is looking for a bigger role and when Mikal Bridges's name came up, he mentioned how Mikal went from defensive stud in Phx to being the guy in Brooklyn. I'm getting some Marbury vibes, that maybe Jaden wants a bigger offensive role and will seek to leave or else he's negotiating for a max/near max deal. It didn't help that Ant said Jaden is the team's most important player as he has the most potential. I might be overreacting, but I probably will worry about Jaden's future with the Wolves as long as he remains unsigned. TC needs to lock him up asap.
Sundog looks prescient having referred in another thread to getting Jaden more involved in the offense as a key priority for the season. If this team is going to have a championship caliber “big three” Jaden will need to be one of those three. And that means Jaden having a more significant role on the offensive end. As Sundog pointed out, that will require Rudy’s offensive role to diminish to defender and screen setter. No more obsessing over getting Rudy the perfect lobs that he can catch and dunk. Rudy has to be slotted as an elite paint defender and screen setter - not much more. The coaching staff needs to insist on constraining Rudy to that dual role and Rudy has to accept it.

Ant, KAT and Jaden should be featured on offense in that order. I like Jaden’s ambition. Now it’s up to Jaden, the front office, coaching staff and teammates to make sure Jaden lives up to his ambition. That’s how this team will become a true title contender.

Jaylen Clark seems really great. I hope he can recover and work on his body.

I thought Garza was especially good -- the last interview of the day if you want to fast forward through the stream. He commented on how much Rudy has worked to improve his offensive skills based on how he gets the ball in the Wolves offense. And there was a lot of other good stuff.

KAT had the most reserved interview I have seen from him. Has all the bad pub left him butt-hurt? Or have enough people talked him out of being so candid in interviews? I don't know. But I sure hope he has a lot more enthusiasm playing this season than he did in that interview!
KAT realized that he can't win with the general public. Also, it's so damn telling that he only really perked up a bit when questions were asked about the DR World Cup team. He legit had fun there and he was probably bummed out that it ended. KAT looked like a guy who came home from vacation and realized he had nothing but work ahead of him and no vacation days in sight.

I've actually seen that "butt hurt" style from KAT before. It's a typical over-rotation on his part because he caught so much heat for his delusional statements during the offseason. So what does KAT do? Instead of just brushing it off and carrying on as a normal person, he has to pout and act all sober and serious. He's such a fake.
