Maybe but how much have you watched Vassell? I haven’t watched enough to be sure of that. Both guys are 23 and had breakout seasons last year playing very different roles on teams with different records.Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 02, 2023 10:39 pmI’ve been saying for a long time that Jaden will end up at around $30 million per year. Vassell’ s further deal confirms my expectation. Is there any team in the league that would prefer Vassell over Jaden? I doubt it.Monster wrote: ↑Mon Oct 02, 2023 8:30 pmThe Athletic is reporting is a 5 years 135 plus incentives that could push it to 146 million. That deal doesn’t start till 2024 season so if he continues to be a really good 2-way wing that seems like it could end up being a pretty good deal. My guess is Vassell was like that’s too good of money to pass up. There is some real risk in waiting. Injury maybe you aren’t as good as you were last year…what about some freak accident or medical situation that is unforeseen? At some point some players might say…damn you know what that’s too much money to turn down to maybe make an extra however much money. I don’t know where Jaden is at and I also don’t know what the Wolves are offering. Are his agents advising him to go for the absolute most money he can get? This Vassell deal means the Wolves probably have to offer at least similar yearly money for Jaden’s camp to consider a deal. Another possible significant advantage of the Vassell deal is having him under contract for 6 more years. Sure guys can ask for a trade but still typically having a guy under contract is worth more than not.

That Vassell contract seemed like it was intentional to just fuck us over. I hope there’s a number that works early because this is going to get weirder by the minute with Bill Duffy involved.

Walker Kessler had 5 blocks and 7 rebounds in 24 minutes on Sunday. More salt in the would.

Eh, I’ll wait until he wins his third DPOY before feeling a little salty

ESPN Sources: The Houston Rockets are trading G Kevin Porter Jr., and two future second-round picks to the Oklahoma City Thunder — who are waiving Porter Jr., immediately. Thunder are sending the Rockets Victor Oladipo and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl in the transaction.
Re: Around the League - Draft and Trade News
I was hoping OKC would keep Oladipo so they'd have to cut another young guy like Aaron Wiggins or even Tre Mann. What is OKC going to do with two more picks? If we ever trade one of the big four or Naz, my first call is to OKC.Sundog wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 12:26 pm ESPN Sources: The Houston Rockets are trading G Kevin Porter Jr., and two future second-round picks to the Oklahoma City Thunder — who are waiving Porter Jr., immediately. Re: Around the League - Draft and Trade News
It might be better for OKC to have a ridiculous surplus of picks so the Wolves can more easily trade for one or more of those picks in future drafts. Lol OKC is an example of how having all those picks/assets does have some diminishing returns.on the other hand I’m not sure they have let anyone go that’s particularly valuable.KG4Ever wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 12:41 pmI was hoping OKC would keep Oladipo so they'd have to cut another young guy like Aaron Wiggins or even Tre Mann.
