GDT: PS2 Mavs in the Desert-Game 2
Re: GDT: PS2 Mavs in the Desert-Game 2
Matt Ryan is 0-3 and 0-6 in two games. Give his two way contract to someone else.
Re: GDT: PS2 Mavs in the Desert-Game 2
He's not that great a shooter and he does nothing else. I have more confidence in Garza, NAW, Shake and Troy Brown as outside shooters and they all have diverse skill sets. We don't need a sub-40% three point specialist. I'd prefer Michael Devoe as a specialist as he is younger and can do a bit more and shoots 3s just as well.
Re: GDT: PS2 Mavs in the Desert-Game 2
Matt Ryan is 0-6 now against deep backups and 0-9 in two games. He doesn't deserve a two way when there are better options available.
Re: GDT: PS2 Mavs in the Desert-Game 2
Not good when our camp fodder looks better than our draft picks! Moore Jr., Minott, and Miller all look just terrible to me.
Re: GDT: PS2 Mavs in the Desert-Game 2
Moore looked ok...I still question his upside.
Miller needs a lot of footwork guidance on defense.
I actually thought Minott played up to where he should be. The 13th or 14th best player on the team.

Tyrese Martin looked the best of the Exhibit 10 guys plus Matt Ryan. Vit probably looked the next best. I'd rather give Tyrese or Vit Ryan's spot. We could also look at roster cuts and I think OKC is going to cut some decent players.
Re: GDT: PS2 Mavs in the Desert-Game 2
I wouldn't lump Miller with the other two as he is a rookie, 19 years old and growing into his body after a growth spurt. I still think he's going to be a good player. Plus he displays more raw talent than Minott or Moore, who I'd be happy to trade away if we can get any kind of positive return for.
Re: GDT: PS2 Mavs in the Desert-Game 2
Yeah, I guess I just figured the G-League professional experience would have ironed out some of his awkwardness, so I don't quite lump him in as a typical rookie since he was literally playing professionally last season and had ample opportunity to refine some things. So I'm a bit worried about Miller.KG4Ever wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 1:32 pmI wouldn't lump Miller with the other two as he is a rookie, 19 years old and growing into his body after a growth spurt. Don't even get me started on Moore Jr. and Minott...
Re: GDT: PS2 Mavs in the Desert-Game 2
Miller is already better than Minott. He'll be fine. I am not sure Minott or Moore will ever be good NBA players, though I think they both deserve another year to try to develop their games, show improvement and prove they deserve a third year.
