I can't see how this could possibly be a problem. I mean, when have the Wolves ever had a problem with a calf injury?
All seriousness aside, yeah...don't like this development. Fortunately we have a resurgent NAW ready to step up, but we're obviously much better with Jaden starting and NAW backing up.

Today is the last day Mcdaniels can sign an extension

If not extended today, he officially will enter RFA this offseason. They can’t extend him during the season
Re: McDaniels at 6’11”
Seems like both he and Ant could do more to chase down long rebounds, which you absolutely can do if guarding the ball. I'm sure it's been a huge point of emphasis in camp.
Re: McDaniels at 6’11”
I’ll take 5.8 rebounds per game from our 6’4 shooting guard. That’s really good. Note also that Ant’s rebounding numbers have increased each of his three seasons. But 3.9 rebounds from our 6’11 SF is unacceptable. And that average is down from the 4.2 his previous season. The Wolves were one of the League’s worst rebounding teams last season just as they were the previous season. Rudy and KAT aren’t very additive because the nature of their rebounding is redundant. We need a Vando type rebounder at the SF position - a guy who grabs the long rebounds and gets the 50-50 balls. More of that from Ant would be great, but it’s hard to complain about 5.8 rebounds at his position. I want to see far more rebounds from Jaden. And it would also be nice if we had a better rebounder at PG.

I will say it’s hard to get rebounds for Mcdaniels when he is the one on the perimeter Defending that shotLipoli390 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 23, 2023 10:45 pmI’ll take 5.8 rebounds per game from our 6’4 shooting guard. Contested rebounds is a better stat to judge Jaden. I'm not sure how he fares in that regard, but I bet someone here does. He's really not tasked with putting up big rebound numbers on this team. If you watch closely, his job is to prevent the person he's guarding from getting the rebound. He doesn't battle KAT and Rudy for the gimmes.
