I’m cool with it for early in the season. This was an immature team last year. As many reps as the can get the better early in the season. IMO
Pelicans vs Wolves GDT
Re: Pelicans vs Wolves GDT
Lol. Wolves bench players all resign as protest to not being brought into the Pelicans game early enough.
Re: Pelicans vs Wolves GDT
I don’t understand why Naz and NAW are in the game. Get them out and put in Minott and Nix. Get Milton out of there too.

Great defense by Minott!
Re: Pelicans vs Wolves GDT
Interesting how things have changed around here! Not long ago we'd be complaining the starters weren't pulled soon enough when they were getting blown out, now we complain because the backups are in to long when they're blowing out the other team!

Nice foul by Minott.

I'd be happy to watch about 35 more games just like this one this year. Love that guys like ANT want to play and go to great lengths to avoid missing games.

Re: Pelicans vs Wolves GDT
Early Morning DVR Review of a game that I watched the first 40+ minutes of:
- As noted... a professional win. The team seemed very sluggish early, but then they just kept at it and pulled away easily. I think a big difference is defense. Eventually, over the long haul, defense can wear a team down. Previously, if the Wolves couldn't get enough stops, overmatched teams could just keep in contact and keep it a game.
- I liked this game from Edwards. He needs to keep making those extra passes... and then the sky's the limit.
- There seems to be a lot of Towns being looked off while standing wide open early in the season. Sometimes, he still gets the ball, but a full second or two later... out of rhythm. Usually, Edwards is the culprit. First, he has to make the pass. Then, he has to learn to make it at the right time.
- Good to see Towns hit some shots. BUT STOP HOOKING THE SMALLER DEFENDER'S ARM!!!! C'mon. It's malfeasance at this point that this is still as prevalent as it is. Obviously, the entire league knows it's going to happen. That's why opposing coaches are cool putting smaller guys on him. That's why officials are calling it right away. It's a problem. Such a silly problem. This is one of the most skilled big men in the world. And yet he can't control his off arm when dribbling? (1) Shame on the coaching staff for not making Towns watch 30 hours of film on this issue if they aren't. (2) Shame on Towns for not figuring out how to avoid hooking defenders.
- Not too worried about the 4th quarter minutes. Yes... it's nice to save minutes for guys like Edwards who try to play every day. At the same time, how much say do the star players have vs. the coach? This isn't the Warriors where everybody is already established. There are still awards and accolades to win... reputations to grow. And to be fair, this is still a work in progress despite the solid start. I think limited Conley is the most important thing. He's old. And small. And not exactly an iron man historically. So 21 minutes last night seemed about right.
- Luka Garza will be scoring 85 points in pro-am leagues until he's 85 years old.
- Jordan Hawkins has such a pretty jumper. It was obvious that he'd be an NBA player watching him at UConn. We'll see if he can expand his game and get stronger in the pros or be a bit of a one-dimensional player.
- It's slightly amusing that Jonas Valanciunas finished with only 1 foul yesterday. He plays a physical game.
[Edit: Nothing earth-shattering here that hasn't already been written by others already. Wow. Imagine that... winning easily brings so much uniformity and harmony to the forum.]

Agree 100%. I started following along on radio and watching online gamecast for the final 7 or 8 minutes. All I could think of was "please don't blow this". After blowing the Hawks game, I was totally fine keeping the foot on the gas until we were within a couple minutes. As others have noted, let's hope this team earns everyone's confidence enough as the season goes on that they can sit/rest guys. But until then - just win baby.
