Draymond yes for sure. Jaden nope. They (him and Klay) didn't do much.Coolbreeze44 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 12:03 amI don't think so Crazy, he already missed an entire game.

Re: Game Day Thread 11/14/23 @ Dubs
I listened to the first half on the radio and went to bed disgusted. But I had enough faith to watch the second half on replay this morning. Glad I did. A couple thoughts:
1) Obviously the tone of this game changed after the ejections...I still think the Wolves would have rolled to a victory without the altercation. But instead we had to face a team of hungry subs trying to show Kerr what they can do.
2) I love Brandon Podziemski. Loved him at Santa Clara, and loved the pick for the Warriors. His halftime interview on the Warriors feed after his banked 3-pointer was classic. They asked him if the bandage on his face made him look handsomer, and he replied "it makes me look like a tough you know what". He's definitely got a future in the NBA.
3) Dane Moore foreshadowed on X why replacing Curry with Paul wasn't necessarily a good thing. Through 10 games this season, the Warriors are 15 points better per 100 possessions with Paul compared to Curry. More evidence that defense actually means something.
4) KAT's 3-point shooting was the key to the 4th quarter, but I also see a lot more toughness in him this season. More tough rebounds, and willing to continue to drive to the basket despite getting hammered most of the time. And it was good to see him get involved right away in the melee in a peacekeeper role...he was the first to try to pull Draymond off of Rudy.
5) The Warriors announcers really understand the impact Rudy has on the defensive end of the court. The 3 blocked shots are great, but the countless time he altered shots or convinced a Warrior to bail on a close-in shot is where his real value is. It's amazing how eager opponents are to attack the rim when Rudy sits.
6) That said, I thought kek's parlay with Rudy needing the double double was a lock...you got jobbed by Rudy's poor shooting night, kek.
7) Not a great shooting game for SloMo, but his impact on the game is palpable. I thought his clever offensive rebound of Ant's miss with a minute left and the Wolves down 2 (he got the ball to Conley who found KAT for the go-ahead 3) was the best play of the game...I don't think we win without it.
8) And how about the cold-blooded three-pointer by Conley with 10 seconds left on a great find by Ant! If you have the game recorded, go back and watch Mike's reaction after his game-clinching shot...nothing! No reaction at all. When you make a game-winning shot, act like you've done it before. 8 assists and only 1 turnover and a game-high +12 for Bite Bite.
So now we're 8-2 and 2-0 in the in-season tournament with two home games to go. The Suns have been awful at home this season (1-4 with 2 consecutive losses) but they probably get Booker back tonight and face a tired Wolves team. This would be a huge win, but I'm not optimistic about this one.

I missed the game last night but I’ll watch the recording later today. After reading this thread I’m glad I didn’t watch in real time. The stress would have been too much.
.
Reading this thread and the box score provides yet another reminder so far this season of how important it is to have two all-star offensive players in this League. Ant’s offense was off a bit, but KAT picked up the slack. In the previous game the Wolves needed elite scoring from both Ant and KAT to win. It’s also important to have at least two elite rebounders as we do in Rudy and KAT. Last night, Rudy and KAT each had double-digit rebounds and yet we were still out-rebounded by the Warriors. If we did not have either Rudy or KAT in the game last night the rebounding deficit would have been too much to overcome and we would have lost the game. Note that KAT shows up as one our two elite players in both categories. Meanwhile, Rudy’s defense in the paint has been outstanding.
Watching Brandin Podziemski’s performance last night and late in the game on Sunday reminds me of why I was so high on him in the draft. Many might recall that he was the guy I would have drafted if the Wolves hadn’t given up their pick in the Rudy deal. He’s a really talented player who is also tough and scrappy.

Love everything in this sequence. Conley directing traffic to clear SloMo out if his zone, Ant's great pass, and Conley's cold-blooded game-clinching three with no emotion. Worth a watch.

I watched the Warriors broadcast and it was infuriating. The most blatant homerism was right after the scuffle. The color commentator was waxing about how Klay is so mild mannered and that he never gets in to these kind of things. And then he breaks out with "WHAT IS JADEN MCDANIELS DOING?! Just ridiculous. Very proud of our fight-back last night, and i loved that KAT was one of the first to try and get Draymond off Rudy. Good team building experience overall.

I couldn't agree more, Cool, that the Warriors broadcasters completely blew their coverage of the scuffle. I'm guessing they were playing to the crowd...they didn't show the replay on the Jumbo screen, so the crowd was probably not aware how bad Draymond looked and how innocent Rudy was.Coolbreeze44 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 10:30 am I watched the Warriors broadcast and it was infuriating. I actually kind of enjoyed them other than that though...they were understandably pleased with how their undermanned squad played. They were very complimentary of the Wolves roster and kept saying what a tough matchup it is for the Warriors. More evidence that we are getting noticed around the league.

I couldn't weigh in on the rest of the telecast because I turned the sound off after the kerfuffle.FNG wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 11:47 amI couldn't agree more, Cool, that the Warriors broadcasters completely blew their coverage of the scuffle. I agree that the fight part was blatant homerism, but generally I like the Warriors crew and since they are my home team, I probably watch more Warriors games than most. I also get annoyed by the Wolves announcers when they are too homerish or they just go on rants and I want to follow the game. So I have muted the game sometimes with Jim Pete when he won't shut up. So I think all announcers have homerish tendencies and can be annoying, even our own.Coolbreeze44 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 11:56 amI couldn't weigh in on the rest of the telecast because I turned the sound off after the kerfuffle.FNG wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 11:47 amI couldn't agree more, Cool, that the Warriors broadcasters completely blew their coverage of the scuffle.
